So I'm planning a second trip with my parents along. The first was during the F&W Festival which my Dad really enjoyed. This time we're going the week after Turkey Day. My Dad told me not to make any reservations for steakhouses(LeCellier) that Italian place(Alfredo's) and no luau(at the Poly).
We are from NY and my Dad is Italian. My mom is a terrific cook and he is very particular about restaurants. So how am I supposed to come up with places he can eat and enjoy?!? We will also have our three kids with us. The places I was going to book are:

CP Breakfast
1900 Park Faire Dinner
LTT Dinner
Chef De France Dinner
Tea me and mom
Grand Floridian Cafe Dh Dad and kids while we have tea
DTD- Not sure where yet.
MGM not sure yet
WCC lunch maybe

We would probably be better off eating seperatley but I really don;t want to do that every night. I wanted to go to BEaches and Cream again but Im not sure now. Are there any places you can suggest to take my Dad? Sigh- my DH suggested my mom cook for him and bring it to the parks- he was joking but seriously suggested she could make him frittatas to bring as a sandwich.
Any ideas are welcome.

What about Victoria and Albert's for the adults? What about the California Grill at the Contemporary Resort with a reservation time to coincide with the fireworks? What about Boma or Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge?

Boma is always full of families and there are lots of choices on the buffet. Victoria and Albert's would be a special meal for the adults and maybe the little ones would enjoy the children's programs for an evening? There is something for everyone on the menu at the California Grill. Ask for a table away from the open kitchen because it gets kind of loud and it makes it hard to visit.

Best Regards,
Julia

Our two best meals this last trip were at Kona(in the Poly) and Narcossee in the GF. My DH is a food snob. We used to live in NYC and it takes alot to impress him and he loved both these places. I would think your dad would especially like Narcossee. It is right on the water and kind of out of park like feel. We went with our 4 children so it is child friendly as well. Kona was just great food- no luau feel at all. Great service and has now become a must do for us. And since he sounds like a guy with personality sounds like he is a must do for the 50's Prime Time Cafe at MGM. They will get him to shape up. :rotfl2:

It just depends on what you are looking for...excellent food or Character atmosphere with ok food.

The best restaurants without a doubt on disney property..great for all of you are Artist Point (dinner), Jiko (dinner), Flying Fish (dinner), Boma (breakfast or dinner), Spoodles (breakfast or dinner), Kona Cafe (breakfast, lunch dinner), Fresh (breakfast) at the Dolphin.

We also love Chefs de France for lunch or dinner.
San Angel in for lunch.
Biergarten for lunch.
Tusker House for lunch.

House of Blues in downtown disney for lunch/dinner.

There are some really great options out there.

Sounds like Dad Needs a chance to unwind and let the inner kid out .. Take him to Chef Mickeys or Whispering Canyon. Even if he doesnt like it you will enjoy laughingat him

If you want a great sandwich while at DTD, I would recommend Earl of Sandwich. Bet he'd like the fare there!!!
