My Dad found reason of VMK's closure.

Apparently the contract between Sulake and Disney expired, and Sulake didn't want to renew it. It's pretty believeable because:
1. Disney usually wouldn't do this
2. It's all of a sudden, at a random time with no warning.
3. Disney won't tell us WHY
4. Disney won't listen to our pleas.

What do you think?

Does your father have any kind of position within the Disney/Sulake company, or did he just read rumors online?

Bottom line is probably someone at Disney decided VMK wasn't a direction they wanted to develop anymore. Walt's EPCOT spirit of constantly testing and experimenting did include pulling the plug on things that didn't develop as they wanted.

I don't like it but I can understand it.

It all seems plausible but in the end does it matter? VMK is closing and we will probably never really know the truth, just conjecture.

"Promotion" is a very lame excuse. Generally when something is for promotional purposes they say, "This promotions ends xx/xx/xxxx."

VMK is ending. However, I will keep my hopes up that Disney will notice our efforts and create a game that is in the spirit of VMK.
