Thought some of you might enjoy the blather that came out of my fingers when I realized that it is only 47 days until DH and I go off to VWL and BCV sans kiddies:
I'm sure. 47!!!!! You see, you take 30 days has September, April, JUNE, and November (I checked a calendar too -- visually) -- so you take the 30 days of June and subtract the 10 that are done and nearly done, and that leaves 20 days in June. Then you look at the next month on the calendar and it is July, and you go 30 days has September, April, June and November. See, no July. So you know that July has 31 days. BUt then you go "WHOA! HOLD YOUR HOURSES THERE, PARTNER, HEY! WHOOPPEEEEEE!!!!!""" cause SUDDENLY you realize, you don't have to count all of those 31 days in July. Cause you don't have to wait until AUGUST! NO! NO! NO! We are going in JULY!!!!! So, instead you count and count and add and add the number of days in July until the 28th (DUH, let's see, I think that is 27, cause you go the 1st is 1 day and the 2nd is 2 days, and the 3rd is 3 days . . . . and you realize that you dont' count the 28th as the 28th day -- especially when you are getting on a plane at freaking 5:30 AM!!!! and everyone knows that the day you leave just gets hooked to the day before, because you don't sleep or anything before you go, so you don't have to add that other day as a separate day!) and you add those 27 days to the 20 days you have left in June and you get out your calculator because even though you know 20 + 27 is 47, your "I desperately need a vacation" brain is going, "no, that cant be right!?!?!?!?! 47 days??!!??!?!??!??!? Could God really be that good to me? ????" YES! YES! YES! (think Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally) and you know, you just know, deep down in your heart that if you are a really, really good girl, you will see MICKEY at the Magic Kingdom just 47 days from today!!! Well, okay, I guess some of you are thinking of how she-of-the-seashells-and-flowing-red-hair (but she can't dance with you at Pleasure Island, can she? Huh? Guess DH will have to settle for little ole me!) will be awaiting you at her grotto, right? But there she will stay!!! No VWL or BCV for her!!!

And THEN I realized that that she-of-the-seashells-and-flowing-red-hair would, in fact, be waiting with her cute little seductive smile at BCV for my Disney-lovin' husband!!!
That's okay, if I can long to be Mickey's girl, he can long to be Arial's guy!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce:

want to do it again and just include the working days! no weekend or holidays are counted.

Great idea, Pat!!!

33 days!!!!! WoW!! I like the way you count better!:Pinkbounc :bounce:

When counting down to my vacation, I never include weekends or holidays. It always helps the time go by so quick. :D

Hey Carm!!
You finally got me onto these boards....you should be ashamed...giving a newlywed like myself one more thing on the internet to keep me glued to a screen and not to my new hubbys's lips!
I love Pat's idea...in fact that's the theorum that I use when calculating TLTV (Time Left Til Vacation). Much better for the sanity (and since I work in the Mental Health field, I should know...okay, okay so I just do the payroll, but still). Well, keep up the good counting and just think, I'll see you in 6 days! Love, Kel:Pinkbounc :jester: :earsgirl:

Uh huh. We did that. Disney without the young children (then 7 and 5) Each time I saw one of their "favorite" characters I ended up in tears b/c I just KNEW they'd love to be sharing the magic with me at WDW and here I was without them. Not saying I didn't have a good time, but it's hard to watch a parade when you're crying!

We just did five night with out our kids (7 & 10) and instead of feeling sad that they weren't with me, I just thought about how soon we'd be coming back with them to share the things they were missing. Kept the tears at bay. It was fun without them in a way different that the fun with them. It was, as they say, all good! But I know what you mean. I'd been too chicken to ride RnRC last time we were there with the kids. I did it this time with DH and now can't wait to go with them so I can share what is now my favorite ride.

Hi, Ohiominnie! I know what you mean about thinking of the kids, but they will be off at sleepaway camp having a great time playing lacrosse and kayaking & when they return it will be only 2 weeks until they get to go to WDW as we take both sets of "GRANDS" off to BCV!!! Isn't that awesome!?!?!?! I am thinking of DH and I's July trip as a scouting mission -- scope out the resorts, find the best restaurants and quickest routes to the pool for when we take the kids and GRANDS!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:
