My computer crashed this weekend and...

I had to restore it. I noticed, today, that certain words are underlined, in people's posts. I can click on that underlined word and go to another site that contains information about that word. I know I can turn this off, but I can't remember how I did it when I first got my computer back in March. Can someone help me??? Thanks!

Click on "TOOLS" -> "INTERNET OPTIONS" -> "ADVANCED" then scroll down and you'll find the "UNDERLINE LINKS". Three choices.

1) Always
2) Hover
3) Never

Choose never.

P.S. You can only change the way the browser displays a link. The link will still be a link to another website(or whatever).

It didn't work. I did what you said, but it's still underlining certain words. For instance, in my signature countdown...my second trip...family vacation is underlined. When I put my cursor on it, I can find out about a 4-5 day Bahama vacation. I know there is a way to get this off, I did it before, but how???
