Ok Coach pals I have a question for those of you who go to the Coach outlet. They opened one here last fall at one of the outlet malls and of course I have been fighting the urge to go, but went with a friend last night to check it out.

I know that at most outlets most things are made specfically for the outlets. At the outlet they only had a few things that were from the stores this past winter and other than that everything was fairly springy or from the legacy collection. One of the gals was really trying to woe us with the low prices on stuff, but I noticed a lot of the bags there were color schemes I had never seen before (hamptons bags for example) which lead me to belive that most everything must be manufactured specifcally for there is that right?!?!?

Does anyone buy stuff from the outlets? Have you been pleased with it? How does it hold up? I'm not rough on purses, but I noticed that some bags didn't really have much of a lining. They had some nice looking cosmetic bags and the girl told me that on May 1st they will be getting in all new stuff inclduing straw bags and what not which really peaked my interest.

The only thing I have bought at a Coach outlet is sunglasses. Regularly priced $115 I bought for $50. They have held up well so far! A friend of mine bought a wristlet that she took to WDW and that is holding up too. Not sure of the purses though. Hope that helps!

Jennifer48- I shop at the outlet and I love the bargains. I usually buy for my daughter there. I took my young DD there on Monday and I went to their clearance section. I got her an ipod case in pink leather for $8.00 marked down from $68 and a small pink leather with white trim purse for middle school. That was 16.99 marked down from 79.00. I was happy! I couldn't get a leather purse cheaper anywhere else for her and I know this will hold up.

Of course, they are 'taking a break' since I finally got my red signature duffle

I have purchased bags from the outlets before and they are beautiful. They have held up well and if there were any little marks on them they aren't noticeable.

Bethany- OMG I love the purse it is a beauty. I have a red coach from a few years ago I got for like $35.00 on clearance. The coach rep was at the store and found it in the stockroom and I was in the right place at the right time and snatched it up!!!

Ok so I'm going to head back to the outlet and see what the straw stuff looks like because I don't own any Coach straw bags yet. I hope they are cute!!!

I usually go with dh and he carries my id and ticket, but now I will be alone.
I need something cute!! I thought about getting a wristlet, but I don't know if the camera will fit in there and I am too worried that I will set it down somewhere and forget it.

personally - I carry a nylon swing-bag. not necessarily a coach...just a small, across the body bag that holds my wallet and can accomodate the camera when we go on water rides (otherwise - it's in DH's cargo shorts.)

about Coach outlet bags - the only "marks" on them, if any, would be on the interior creed (the leather patch). They put a bulls eye mark (imprinted)...looks kinda like the Target sign. heheh

I've gotten some GREAT deals at outlets..an ipod shuffle case for $15, GORG leather wallet for $68 (down from $198), suede swing pack for $44 (down from $148). True - outlets don't have all the same stuff the regular stores get, and some stuff is made JUST for outlets...but it's still "Coach Quality" IMO.

ok - so I ran into Coach yesterday and bought this for my mom for mother's day.
(she always wanted something 'coach'...so I got her the iPod Nano case. If she doesn't like it - she'll have a credit at the store...)

and really - how could I leave with buying nothing for myself? heheh...so I got myself this. Basic, yes, but i'll get use out of it!

I feel as though I failed all of you yesterday I went shopping and checked out the Coaches and didn't buy one! Nothing really grabbed my eye! I did like this cute white one with a bee on it but not enough to take it home. I kept picturing how dirty it would get. I'm not easy on my handbags.

Anyway...I'm keeping my eyes open for the future.

that is cute! but so tiny! I, personally, couldn't deal. But I'm glad you like it!

My current wallet is a Dooney and Bourke medium zip around wallet...even that's smaller then I normally go...but it works well for me.

I'm going to try carrying only what little cash I have, my license and debit card in my new wristlet...just grab that out of my purse when I need it. not pull out my wallet all the time.
