I am having to do a Elvis Timeline for my child who is in 2nd grade.... where could I get pics of him .. do you know of a book or magazine in a store.. cheap??? thanks for any advice..

Young or old fat Elvis?

Have you googled him and click on images.

When my kids had to do things with pictures, we would always print them off of the internet. If you do a google search and click "images" it will bring up lots of photos.

This is your homework assignment or your child's????

What is a parent project? Please tell me you are not doing your 2nd grader's homework.

Sounds like fun!! We used to love 'family work.' If you have your child work with you it will really turn out well. I could suggest a half priced book store and go to their coffee table section to look for a book on Elvis. Of course, Google Images is an excellent resource!

Lol, some of these folks are ready to jump all over you aren't they?!

the library is always a good resource. the book priscilla presley wrote has photos in it, and you might find one of those 'best of' books on life magazine that would likely have some photos.

Yes I am doing it with her.. I have to get the pics...

Thanks

She has to do the poster and the writing!

REALLY????? I HATED when the parents were expected to do homework. I already went through 2nd grade, thanks.

Don't you first have to figure out if he's dead or alive? :scratchin And if he's alive, do you need to get pictures of sightings of him? :magnify: ;)

I'm with you. I particularly hate it when the teachers have me sign an agreement that the project will be done and turned in on time. :confused3

Ugh, I hated it, too. DD and I did plenty of stuff with our family time. I didn't need a teacher to provide us with a project.

I hated them too! I would dread seeing the notes "work with your child making" such and such.....or worse the one assigning me to watch some TV show with her and write OUR feelings...so they expect ME to write mine also....yea because after working all day, cooking dinner, doing whatever after school thing we are doing that night I really want to sit down watch some show I don't want to watch and do parent homework on it!!!

Yes it does say a project for us to do together. It is going to teach her how to research and learn something at the same time.

No - its a project designed for the parents and children to do together -- the mom is not doing it for her daughter. Her child has to do the poster and writing; the mom has to research and get pictures.
