My child and restaurants-ugh

Oh, and the 2:00 comment I made wasn't refering to anything you had said....

Along the same lines as this thread are the parents who allow children (older) to use the pool use late at night at the resorts when those children are making loud noise.

There's nothing wrong with an after dinner swim, however when it's 8:00+ at night and they are screaming and shrieking at the pool and playing like it's 2:00 in the afternoon is incredibly intrusive.

Most of the same reasoning applies: people have paid for the resort rooms and don't enjoy hearing screaming *children* ('tweens, etc.) while they are trying to relax.

I think what we're all after is some common courtesy, be it at the restaurants and the pool.

HOWEVER, I think we should ALL try to look at every situation with at least some sympathy and understanding and giving of the benefit. Life is too short.

Well, 8:00 at night is definitely not late-especially when you're on vacation and especially at WDW. Unless it's winter the sun is still shining! If someone needs quiet at that time (or any time, for that matter) of night it's probably best to request a room far from the pool.

Well, that's actually a bit how I feel about children in restaurants AT WDW (not other places, however, though I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt). Children are loud. Children at WDW get tired. A lot of people don't have transportation to go off-site to eat so that leaves WDW restaurants. So at WDW people should expect things to be a little out-of-their-normal-routine.

That was my point about the noise at the pool. I hope others were able to make that distinction.

It's Disney. It's vacation. It's a child-FRIENDLY place. There's gonna be noise.

But I appreciate everyone's point of views on this, ehm, touchy topic. I think I've said what I have to say on the topic so I'm off to check out more tips on ENJOYING the trip!

Happy Vacationing, Everyone!!
