In fact, she's downright feisty, which means she's back to her old self. :hyper:

Giving her the antibiotic is a little bit difficult, though. I told the doctor it would be no problem to get her to take it because she LOVES milk. The first time I crushed it up and put it in some milk, she lapped it up until she started tasting the pill. Yesterday I tried it in tuna, and she wouldn't even give it a sniff, so that pill was wasted. My last resort was to try ice cream, and she did pretty well with it. Hopefully she got enough down. Today we are going to go back to the old "shove it down her throat" method. Ugh! Wish us luck.

Wanna know how much she loves the pill? Dh said she had gotten on the kitchen counter, knocked the bottle on the floor, and had rolled it across the floor to the trash can. ::yes:: What a little stinker! What's very interesting is that dh has his own meds on the other counter, and she didn't touch those.

How does she know????

LOL, I'm glad she's doing better.

Have you ever asked your vet about alternative to pills or liquids? My vet calls the presciption into a pharmacy that compounds the stuff into different forms. For example, my Nicholas will not allow me to give him Amoxicillin - EVER. I used to have to ask the vet for the biggest bottle they had, even though he didn't need that much because we'd both end up wearing so much of it. Now I have it compounded into a transdermal gel that I rub on his ears. Its fantastic. No more fighting!! :D We used to use a local place, but now we're using a place in Texas that sends it UPS Overnight. It was only $10 plus $7 for the shipping. The other pharmacy used to cost $35 plus $15 for delivery to my office. I highly recommend it.

Any time I've had to give my cat pills, I basically had to put him on the floor, straddle him, and shove the thing down his throat. After a few times he stopped fighting it but it still wasn't fun.

Glad your kitty is better. We put the pills in cheese when we have to give them to the cats. It seems to work pretty well.

Glad to hear Noel is doing better, Liz, those pets are smart, aren't they, LOL. :)
