Your fantastic report has me cracking up all over the place!!!!
I especially loved your musings on the lady that hogged up 3 tables and about 27 different chairs without eating a thing!
If it had been me, I would have gone over to her and helpfully explained that her family sent you over to tell her that they were sitting at tables inside and they wanted her to go over to where they were.
If she came back to get her revenge, you could have engaged her in a light saber duel with one of those Pecos Bill's fiber fries, or perhaps feigned ignorance and claimed that you mistakenly told the wrong woman. She couldn't argue with THAT now could she!
Disney in the heat of the summer can really be a dog eat dog world.
Thanks so much for the great trip report!!![]()

Loved the trip report. There is comfort in numbers, right? It always makes me feel better when I find others as obsessed with their Disney photography as I am!
I TOTALLY understand your mini-meltdown. On our Disneyland trip in 2007, something happened to my DSLR mid-way through our second of 2 days at the park. On the up side, I REALLY wanted pictures of my daughter with Belle. On the down side? Immediately after I got those pictures I developed some sort of problem with the shutter in my camera and it wouldn't work, leaving me sans DSLR the rest of that day, and the rest of our 1500 mile drive home through the scenic southwest.
Mine was under warranty through Sears, so I knew they would fix or replace it. I found myself wishing it wasn't. I was DYING to stop and just buy a new one! But I was happy when I got home to find out Sears couldn't fix it and would replace it with a newer model.
It's a horrible feeling though to be RIGHT where you want to use it the most and not have it!
I really enjoy seeing everyone's shots at Star Wars weekend. I just doubt I would ever brave the heat to do it.
Thanks for sharing!
So when are you going back to photograph Spectro?????
I really enjoyed reading and seeing this tripreport!!
What an excellent trip report! And the pictures are simply amazing. When I got my SLR after High School, the first thing I did was try to get night shots. Back in the day, having to wait for the prints to be developed, I wasted a lot of money. I must say that your night shots in the parks are breathtaking.Wow!
I haven't yet purchased a DSLR, but it is plainly obvious the difference in the photos you took with your 50D and the ones you took with the point-and-shoot.
My son just got a Canon Rebel T2i and took it to Boston on our last trip. He got some amazing shots also, and he is just learning.
Also, thanks for the great pictures of Coronado Springs. I have never stayed there and was planning on the Grand Floridian for our trip this November, but it is quite $$$$. As nice as you described Coronado (and photographed) we may need to consider that one.
Looking forward to your next trip report from your August Trip!
