I was at work today and as I was going on my lunch break I walked by the appliance department. I noticed the Dyson display and we had a Dyson DC23 canister vacuum on closeout for $179.00. Brand new in the box. I came home from work with a brand new Dyson. Hubby was thrilled because it was the one I have be looking at, but would never pay $499 for. Thanks for letting me be excited

Awesome find! My Dyson is 7 yrs old & still working great. Enjoy!

Great find. I love my Dyson and it is the first of 5 vacumns of various brands that I have had last over a year or two.

Wow, that was a great deal....congrats on the deal. Hopefully yours will be much better than mine. My Dyson was the worst vacuum I had and it cost over $400 and only lasted 3 years barely. I love my shark now.

Love the Sharks, but couldn't pass up the Dyson. My Mom has an upright and loves it. I have more hardwood floors and the canister seems to be great so far.

Excellent find!!! I would have snapped it up too!!
I too have 1750 square feet of hardwood. A broom just won't cut it. It's also very very dark hardwood and is such a pain to keep looking clean that I have to go over it every other day or more. It's my single biggest house chore and one that drives me nuts :crazy2:
Let us know how it works!

HELP!!! My house has hardwoods made from 100 yr old reclaimed lumber, it has a glossy polyurethane finish on it, it was nice and shiny at first and is now dull

Do any of you guys know what to use as a cleaner that does not leave a film on my floor? I have used swiffer mop, and now I have been using a microfiber mop with mostly water and a little bit of Murphy's oil soap mixed in? They all seem to leave my floors dull looking? What should I use to achieve that shine again?

Just water and a little vinegar works best for me. hth

That is great! On Sunday, Target marked both the DC24 and DC26 down to $219 from $399 PLUS you got an $80 giftcard. Since I shop at Target anyways I went ahead and picked one up using my Redcard (5% off) for a total of $141 minus giftcard!!

I have been wanting one for so long and was super excited to get one for so cheap. My mom tried to get one where she lives but they had sold out that morning. It is a fabulous vacuum!!!

I agree 1/2 water and 1/2 vinegar mix. The smell does go away but if you are worried you can let it sit in orange or lemon peels.
