Okay, 2009 has not been a great year for me, either.
My home was flooded in September. We were blessed to be able to stay at my sister's condo but I have to pay her mortgage AND mine. I also have to pay my utilities and HERS.
Then my job told us we had to take furlough days till the end of the year. I now make $1000 less a month than I did a few months ago.
It hasn't killed me but it put a major tight rein on expenses for Christmas and everything else. I'm a single mother and every dime counts.
To make things worse, my son tells me last week he needs a tuxedo and new shoes for his Christmas chorus. I looked everywhere for one but they were either too expensive or wouldn't fit (he's a big boy with REALLY big feet)....
Today I came to pick him up from school and he was carrying a suit bag.
He happily threw it in the back seat and told me his chorus teacher handed it to him and told him a "secret donor" paid for the suit.
I have NO idea who did this, no one really knows our situation (my son is VERY shy and quiet) but omG I feel so BLESSED!!!
He now has a tux, the shirt, the cumberbund AND the shoes. AND THEY ALL FIT.
Merry Christmas.....
