Hmmm ... that's not the vibe I got at all. Just goes to show that two people can read the same post and get two different stories out of the same words. What I saw is that the OP thought it would be better and less upsetting for the dogs to live with other people in her current area rather than to move to FL with her and be in a small apartment. When it was clear that was not going to work out (because 2 of her dogs missed her so much) she realized that it's better for the dogs to go with her and she is now working to make that happen. Where you see selfishness (give the dogs away it will be easier for me), I see selflessness (give the dogs away so they can be happier). I guess I'm just in a "glass half full" mood tonight.What I saw is that the OP is taking her dogs because she HAS to. She tried to give them away and that didn't work, so they have to come with her. It was not her original plan to take them, and frankly her reasons sounded more like, "I want to make this easier for me."

and all you really wanted was tips on moving with large dogs, why did you even mention all the rehoming stuff?
and I honestly keep trying,, but it soooo hard...
