My ds(13) will be leaving this afternoon for 3 weeks in Europe as a Student Ambassador. I'm very proud of him and excited for him. However, I am his mom and my baby is going on an adventure in another country without me. I know he'll be fine and will have a wonderful time but I am his mom so I am nervous. Just felt like I had to share this.

Good for him!!! You must be so proud!

Thinking good thoughts for him to have a safe trip (I'm sure he will!)

 I think you need one of these! ;) He is going to have a great time! It is so hard when they grow up isn't it! :D

13? Yeah, I'd be a basket case. :) Student Ambassador? That sounds impressive.

TEENEE, when you son comes back from his trip I'd like to hear about it. We've received invitations to learn more about becoming student ambassadors but have not been to the meetings. I'd like to know what your son thinks about it.

Thanks for your well wishes. He is well on his way to London. He'll land at 3:15 AM my time, 8:15 AM London time. 35 kids and 3 adults. The whole group was ready to get their trip started. When it was time to say good bye all the moms were teary eyed, one girl was crying but the rest could not get on the plane fast enough. Look out American Airlines. I'm sure they're having a blast already. For those of you who are interested I will update you after he comes home.
