NEW Rejected Offers Thread

Double points can get you used to extra too. Rock meet hard spot
Yep! Our first contract was 200 BCV that came double loaded and ohhh boy was it easy to spend the extra 200 pts for two great trips that year including a 2bd at CCV and as the Tiger King warned, "I'll never financially recover from this!"

This latest contract will put us mid 800s. I remember that original debate of whether 175 pts was enough or if we should get the 200 one instead. So naive, soo very naive. Hah!

Congrats! I am always willing to pay MF for extra points (essentially you are offering at most 129 for a regular contract depending on how much you value the extra points)

Ohh yes, I like your DisneyMath right there! I didn't pay more than I wanted per point, I just paid some old dues. Hah! This is excellent.

This is our third ccv contract and the "worst" by a couple of bucks per point. So not too bad.

I wrote a whole thread here in the DIS why my 100 point CCV was enough and all we needed. :rotfl2:

For all of us recent rejects, maybe we'll see an increase in resale contracts with the recent DVC "personal use" attestation Disney has implemented (thread here if you haven't caught up yet: https://www.disboards.com/threads/dvc-t-c-personal-use-only-thread-to-discuss.3968373/)

One can hope!!
I think it's going to take Disney catching folks making false attestations before that happens. I cannot imagine the big commercial contract holders are going to sell so easily. (Although I'm sure we all wish they would! LOL)

You're probably right. If there is an effect, it will take time.
I think we might see an uptick in contracts because the smarter, risk-averse owners who have been renting excess points for a while (but are still above their buy in price) might take this opportunity to jettison extra contracts they've been renting a lot before there's deluge, but I don't think we'll see a major exit of commercial renters until Disney makes the risk reward a lot less favorable for them.

Resort: BWV
Contract Size: 150
Asking: 130
Rejected Offer: 100
Sellers pays any MFs or Dues - not discussed based on how this broker takes offers

Declined with a no counter of "seller is only accepting full price offers"

It's very possible as I am sure @AstroBlasters would point out my offer was so low they didnt feel like countering and if I had came in higher they would've played ball. Since it's not my preferred UY I went in low, and Im not in a rush so Im gonna go after a smoking deal and see if I can succeed.

The BC/BW market is a very different market than AUL/CCV/BLT and even VGC.

Also you got a BWV at 105 so you set my ceiling price very low to start off with.
You will get what you want-dont compromise. Granted, I ended up with a larger BWV contract (210 points), but I just kept putting in offers at what I wanted to spend (94/pt)-and was shocked when someone agreed without even countering on the 4th try. Plus, for some of these contracts those 2025 points are going to start losing their value in the coming months-not the biggest deal, but when we are talking about only 17 years worth of points, that should be driving down your offering price.
