My Baby Girl Is Turning 13-Time For Another Mom/Daughter WDW Trip!!

I can only imagine the excitement she felt and the happiness you felt, great job Mom.

The black curtain is pulled back. Lauren goes in first and immediately walks to the right, where the Jonas Brothers are lined up. I walk in behind her and notice their security guard Big Rob sitting right in front of me. Now Big Rob is this GIGANTIC man who also raps on one of their songs. The man looks like a oversized teddy bear and has become semi-famous himself. So I went up and gave him a high-five.

He said "How are ya, darling?"

But by doing that, I have now kind of lost track as to what is going on with Lauren. I really would have liked to have seen her interaction; but I'm dealing with my own now. And it's kind of a blur.

I just remember Jonas faces.

First, the oldest Kevin - very sweetly shakes my hand and introduces himself. Next is the youngest Nick - and this is what sticks with me the most out of this experience. This 16yr.old kid takes my hand into both of his hands, and while shaking it, looks me right in the eye and is thanking me so much for being there. Oh lord - I just wanted to squeeze him. He was just the most adorable thing EVER and so sincere. I felt like saying "you're thanking me? Do you have any idea what you're doing to my daughter right now?". But then I remembered not to embarass her and instead thanked him so much for doing this and he said it was their pleasure.

It is now at this point that I snap out of my trance and become aware of what is happening with my daughter and the middle Jonas Brother.

Out of the corner of my eye, I see Joe Jonas with a very firm grip around Lauren's shoulders and leading her over the to other side of the room. According to Lauren, in the middle of meeting Nick, who by the way - shook her hand, gave her shirt a thumbs up and replied "Yankees - good, good, good!"; Joe interrupted with a huge smile on his face at the sight of her Yankee shirt. He was THRILLED to see another Yankee fan there and he was now pulling her over to some Boston Garden employees to taunt them.

"See? ANOTHER Yankee fan in Boston. YES! YES! YES! Yankees rule!" He then turns to the photographer and tells him that awesome Yankee fans get THREE pictures taken. "Not one (like everybody else); but three!" The whole time, he has not taken his arm off of her.

She.Is.DYING!!!!!

Security is now telling us to line up for the picture. Ummm - but I still have not shaken Joe's hand. And I will NOT be leaving without shaking Joe Jonas' hand!

They snapped three pix - although I do wish we had time to change up the pose a bit. But oh well; having three pix taken ensured that we had 3 choices of good pix. With the pix being done, our turn is over and it's time to say goodbye.

Joe, with his arm still around Lauren, walks with her towards the exit and tells her that if anyone out there gives her a hard time about being a Yankee fan, she needs to come back and tell him. (yeah, we need your number to do that, Joe.)

He finally turns to me. He took my hand (two-handed again), shakes it and thanks me for coming, saying he loves to see fellow Yankee fans.

No, Joe - thank YOU!

So now, here are the three meet and greet photos. Yes, they are different. Trust me, Lauren has examined them very closely and she has her favorite and her least favorite.

Lauren likes the first one the best - says she likes everyone's smile the most in that pic. She likes the last one the least because she hates her smile.

Whatever. I'm just happy everyone's eyes are open and we're all smiling.

On our way out of the meet and greet area, we were able to finally see, and meet, the man who helped make this all possible - Mike, our new best friend!

Lauren is in a trance still and there isn't much time to chat because he has his duties. But we hugged him and thanked him repeatedly. Such a nice guy!

On very wobbly legs, I walked Lauren over to a lounge area so she could steady herself. And, of course, we both now had some mad-texting to do!

It was such a great experience and I was so impressed with the Jonas Brothers. They do this type of thing day in and day out, and yet they never seem bored or disinterested. Just so sweet, nice, friendly and genuine.

But I'm not surprised. They are, after all, Jersey boys!

That whole thing made me smile like a geek.
Especially Joe's hilarious reaction to her Yankees shirt.

(Btw, I'm new to your thread, but I did read the whole trip report, and think you guys are pretty cool. xD)

OMG. I am such a HUGE sap!! I am reading this and crying all over my computer because I am just sooooooooooooooooo happy for Lauren!!! That is the BEST!!!! GO YANKEES!!!!! They really sound like great boys. Where in NJ are they from? I am so clueless about them, my sons would NEVER be caught at a JB concert! I guess they really are a girl thing, huh? Smart boys!

Wow Cammie! That is so AWESOME! Lauren just looks thrilled, and so do you! I admit, I am very jealous! We went to last Friday nights show too, and we loved it! Wasn't it great? The Jo Bros put on such a good show! I even had a tear in my eye during Nick's speech!

The show was just great. This is my third time taking Lauren to one of their shows and have enjoyed each and every one! And yes, Nick's speech gets to me. God bless him.

Great pictures! and how exciting! I don't really know much about the Jonas Brothers having a 16 year old boy in the house but they sound like really nice kids.

And... go Yankees! My son is interested in possibly going to college in Boston but says but Mom, it's Boston. I keep telling him he'll find Yankee fans in Boston.

Oh tell him to get up here! We need more Yankee fans in the area. It's not much fun when the Red Sox beat us; but oh the joy when we beat them!

Lauren says yes to being Bffs! Fellow JB fans are good with her. Seriously, she's bugging me to get her own DIS acct. I may give in soon so be on the look out.

And yes, Nick is adorable and Joe is hilarious. And Kevin is a sweetheart. Also Lauren wants to point out - look at her left shoulder in the meet & greet pic, right by Nick's left armpit. YEP, that's Joe's arm still firmly holding onto her!

I traveled over here after reading the DisMoms GONE WILD TR. I have to say you are an amazing Mom and I can only hope I'm as good at the Mom thing to my daughter in a few years as you are to your girls.

Hi just found your trip report today, I was looking for some disney magic so thanks Loved your trip! and super job on the concert! I was able to take my daughter when she was 13 to see Jessie McCartney and got a meet and greet too. I didn't tell her about it till we were at the show. She was sooo amazed and has never worn the shirt she had on again we only got about 2seconds with him in a hallway and they took a polorid(sp?) which she spent all nite looking and smiling at and still keeps it in her cd holder in the car. That was 3 years ago! I'm off to read your mom's weekend report thanks for sharing

And she had a great birthday in Disney. She enjoyed all of the extra attention ALOT. I WILL finish this tr once I'm done posting about JB.

Oh that was so sweet to say. Thank you! I have great girls so it makes being a mom that much easier.

As for the Billy/Elton concert - oh boy. Saw all of Elton. He was great. Saw some of Billy - he was fantastic. BUT I had to leave early - let's just say my gf doesn't know when to say when. I was not happy considering it was my birthday! This was totally out of character for her. And we went for cheap seats - never again. I like sitting up close. But on the good side, I did get to hear Billy Joel perform "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant". Probably one of my all-time faves!

And yeah - AMEN to the Joe's arm around you comment. He's pretty easy on the eyes. As for that fanny pack, it was part of his costume for the soundcheck party (I posted pix further back in the thread). I think he was dressing as a nerdy tourist; guess he liked the fanny pack and decided to hold onto it. It's working for him though, don't you think?

DAWN! How the heck are you? I've been so MIA from the DIS for most of the summer and have completely lost touch with all of the TRs I was subbing to. I've noticed you had your NYC report up. I need to check into that and see how it all went!
