My AP-ALOOZA Continues (WE RENEWED!!) ~ NEW TR link posted!

Great BLT room!!!

And, you guys had a super productive visit to MK - that's impressive! And yes, a glass of wine at dinner probably would have made everything taste that much better! :thumbsup2

By the way, hope you guys are having a great time at WDW --- and that you had a magical birthday!!! pixiedust:

Thank you all! We are home (last night) and now spending the day doing laundry. We all slept in past 8am (unheard of for Aria!!) and despite wishing I could have spent another day at disney it is nice having today to unwind.

I'm toying with a December trip. My ap expired 12/13....wdw is just calling me back. I plan to look at finances tomorrow. If I can't pull it off then I am going to put it in the plan for a bigger trip next December. Idk why but I am just dying to go to the mvmcp. Plus Aria should be tall enough for 7dmt by December....

Oh and Aria is a way better traveling partner than my dear husband ;) we still had fun but definitely a different park touring style when he is around.

Welcome back - glad things overall went well ... and who doesn't want another day at Disney? :goodvibes

Next time you will just have to tell Andrew to go off and do his own thing while you and Aria tour more efficiently and positively ;)

I can see wanting to go back in December - the Christmas Decorations are great and there are also the Story Tellers in EPCOT. Plus, this is likely to be the last year for Osborne Lights if the rumors of all the changes to DHS are true after the closing of the back-lot tour (construction on which would put it right at where the Osborne Lights are)

I know you guys saw my Facebook post but for anyone who didn't see it I may not be doing a trip report for October as I lost my first 1200 photos which is the first five days of the trip my Sd card went missing :( it had our pictures from the 3-D dessert party, time in Epcot, mk & ak, tons of photos with Andrew's parents and some really cute ones of aria with her Papa, my whole birthday day - so upset I can't stop thinking about it. Disney lost & found is not being very helpful (they weren't after my August trip either and my iPhone charger was never returned). I wish I was still on property so I could go knock on the door of my beach club room and ask them lol. I can't call the room without knowing their name. I think I know exactly where it was - if housekeeping didn't throw it away. Ugh I am so stupid.

ugh, sorry this happened Lauren! And sorry that Disney isn't being better about trying to help you. I mean, if they can't find it, they can't find it ... but you'd think they would do all then can to check

Hope something works out and you find it though! :goodvibes

Can the Beach Club concierge help?

Are there any DIS-ers around there right now? :confused3

I would hope it wouldn't get thrown away - I'd think they'd recognize something like that as not being trash. I hope.

Hopefully you have some pics from other cameras/phones and photopass. Huge bummer, though, and I'm really holding out hope that it will show up soon.

Side note - if you need someone local, Katgarcia's boyfriend works at WDW - I could send her a message if there might be any way he can help (works phones, so not in parks)

Welcome back!!! So funny about your DH. Sadly, my DH seems to be "over" Disney. Thus, I'm going December 2-8th with just me & the kids (4 & almost 3 by then) and my sister is going with her kids (3 & 8). It should be interesting to say the least. We have never been during Xmas so we're excited to focus on the Xmas specific things. If you do decide to go around that time, we must meet and have a drink! :)

Oh No! I'm so sorry. :(

Welcome back! I'm so sorry about losing your photos - that is really a shame. I hope that the card turns up!

The latest news regarding the SD card is that the current room residents called back to the Lost & Found and stated they did not see it anywhere, and supposedly they are waiting for them to leave the room for a manager to enter and look. She attempted to send in a manager yesterday but their do not disturb sign was up all day - so they may or may not keep that sign up again today. I am losing hope though, as it would be pretty obviously sitting on the TV stand (I really can't imagine anywhere else I'd have put it) so if they didn't see it sitting there, I don't know where it ended up.

I do have a few Photopass pictures and cell photos from those days, but maybe 40 vs. the 1200+ that were on the card.

I know it isn't the end of the world, but it does still really suck and I am so sad about it.

On another note I have looked at vacation leave / finances and my travel plans are as follows. I have to skip a December 2014 trip as that just isn't in the cards right now if I want any time off around Christmas.

1/31-2/9 - Disney Cruise visiting Cozumel and Castaway Key, then a few nights in the Florida Keys.

5/9-16 7 nights at the Shades of Green. I will either renew my AP OR get a new AP for myself, so I can get a TiW card and the free parking. For Aria I'll get her a military salute ticket, as we will be traveling with lynda.

9/3-21 France! Including 4 nights at Disneyland Paris

12/6-13 WDW - just Aria & me. I'll prob get her a 6-day park hopper plus plan a water park day. Either stay at BLT in a studio, BWV in a studio or at an offsite 2 bedroom condo.

This allows for 2 weeks at Disney for next year, plus the cruise and France. I am really excited about this plan as I was a bit sad about not having anything planned. This week we will be booking our Shades reservation for May, and in november we can make our ADR's for that trip (as well as all Cruise reservations too) so some fun things coming up. Adding in a last minute December trip I think is just too much right now, with the other plans in the works, our big holiday party on 12/6 and then of course Christmas, then Aria's birthday and then the cruise.

Plus since I'll have an AP again, I may be able to sneak in some weekend trips again... :rolleyes1 (should I just cough up the $$ for an AP for Aria too...hmmm :cutie: ) right now the cost of her ticket is 207 for our may trip and about 331 for december, and I can get her a regular AP for 619 including tax, so about a $90 difference (however then I would have to purchase a water park ticket for her in May, $45, so all in all a $135 difference - which would be worth it IF I can fit in another trip in 2015, or before May 2016...).

Trying to keep up the positive thoughts about your memory card and that they will find it or you will randomly find it in a suitcase pocket or something.

Obviously doesn't totally replace it but having the Photopass pictures it as least something - and you will still have your memories, etc.

Sounds like a great lineup of trips for next year! :thumbsup2

As of now not sure what we will do next year. Maybe just a week in the Finger Lakes in the spring.

Probably going to skip Disney next year. We are hoping to do an Adventures by Disney in 2016 when Emma will be old enough to leave so need to save our pennies next year

Though, given that the kids won't come on that trip and that would mean at least 2 years in a row they wouldn't go we might sneak something in next fall if we can do it using Military Salute tickets and use our timeshare (a.k.a., on the cheap)

I'm with Phil on hoping those pictures show up in some random place at home. :goodvibes

Travel plans sound awesome! :thumbsup2

I'm not sure how I didn't realize that our tentative May land-and-sea overlaps with your May dates (slightly). We'd probably be arriving either the 15th or 16th. That whole trip is up in the air (despite having the cruise booked), since Dug's job change might mean he can go to a conference in LA the week prior, which may mean changing our trip to Disneyland. We'll see. But thanks for the reminder that we should figure out and book ADRs next month for May! I hadn't even thought about it yet. :rotfl:

Knowing you, I would say to get Aria an AP. Unless you are trying to find reasons to keep yourself from jumping on a good condo/airfare deal. :rolleyes1 I have a tough time imagining you NOT adding another trip or extra days or something. :rotfl:

Will you do a TR for France? I'd love to hear about it!

Ok getting back into my August TR! (btw, they searched the room and no SD card. I have literally turned everything over that we brought home and not finding it, boo).

So on to Monday August 25th!

This day we started out nice and early with a comfortable walk from BLT to the MK for our planned breakfast at Crystal Palace – but first I had to get a few photos of Aria of course! I actually brought this Well Dressed Wolf dress specifically for this morning with the intention to change her into her Pooh outfit right after I got a few pics. She started out in a bit of a mood and didn’t want to take any photos, but eventually I convinced her to stop being a butt.

I also grabbed a passerby to get a photo of Aria and me walking to the castle. There weren’t any free Photopass and I felt a little bad asking but he was gracious and took a few.

Then after a quick change I got a few more pics with her balloon

A week at the finger lakes sounds wonderful! That is a trip we would love to do again. Where are you thinking of going with ABD? You aren't going to bring the kids? I am excited to read Khertz report on her ABD tour, but since I enjoy trip planning so much (and the freedom of traveling by ourselves, plus the cost is much higher than doing things ourselves) I just don't see us ever taking one.

Timeshare & Military tickets sound just about how I am fitting in WDW next year! LOL! We are going on the cheap as well. Can't get much cheaper than $47.50/night at Shades (splitting with Lynda!) for May, and December I am still undecided whether to rent BLT points or just stay at a cheaper condo. We'll see.

I'm with Phil on hoping those pictures show up in some random place at home. :goodvibes

Oh yay!! You'll have to let me know if you do end up going and we overlap those days. We are doing Saturday-Saturday so 5/9-16 so we should def. overlap. the 15th is Lynda's birthday so I am tentatively planning MK for hte morning and EPCOT for the evening.

My only reservations regarding the AP is how cheap the military salute ticket is, and how we can get it to include water parks & disney quest - making her ticket that much more expensive...I am considering just doing the military salute and then getting her an AP that starts in December? IDK. We'll see....and yes, that would mean holding back on awesome airfare deals if we don't have an AP, which isn't necessarily a bad thing LOL

The ABD we really want to do is the one they have announced that combines two trips - to San Fransisco / Napa valley and then up to Disneyland for the behind the scenes tour there - and then they add in a stop at Lucas studios :hyper:

Given that it is wine country and then behind the scenes at Disneyland figure it isn't really kid friendly. Plus that would make it crazy expensive as kids prices are much less than adults

Only thing is I reached out and they said that since they are doing it twice in the next year they don't expect to be doing it in 2016 - but we shall see.

Talking to Judi last night seems like we will not be doing Disney at all next year - I think she just wants to take a break and wants to do more Finger Lakes next year since it has been so long since we have been there (we used to do it twice a year but haven't been there at all in 2-3 years) - so we might to that in the spring and again in the summer (one of the wineries we are members of does a big summer picnic event)

We will, most likely, do the Hershey DISMeet again though in the spring, so that will have to be my Disney fix for the year

very cute pictures - Aria seems really into the magic shot ones!

Glad you found someone to take the "walking to the castle" picture :goodvibes

That sounds like an awesome combo!! Napa & DL! We will be doing something like that prob in 2-3 years as I really want to show Andrew & Aria Monterey & Carmel, and of course include some Napa and Disneyland time as well.

The Hershey DISmeet was so cool to read about. Do you know when it will be? If only it coincided with Easter, as we hope to go to DC for the Easter Egg Roll. (And Hershey is sort of on the way)

Thank you!! She was a grump but then got over it quickly thankfully!

We've never been to California so it seemed like a good excuse to get there. The other ABD that sounded cool (I mean, a lot of them sounded cool) was the one to France that included a stop at Disneyland Paris

So the Hershey DISmeet next year is a bit later than Easter - it is June 26th adn 27th
