Thank you all! We are home (last night) and now spending the day doing laundry. We all slept in past 8am (unheard of for Aria!!) and despite wishing I could have spent another day at disney it is nice having today to unwind. I'm toying with a December trip. My ap expired 12/13....wdw is just calling me back. I plan to look at finances tomorrow. If I can't pull it off then I am going to put it in the plan for a bigger trip next December. Idk why but I am just dying to go to the mvmcp. Plus Aria should be tall enough for 7dmt by December.... Oh and Aria is a way better traveling partner than my dear husbandwe still had fun but definitely a different park touring style when he is around.
I know you guys saw my Facebook post but for anyone who didn't see it I may not be doing a trip report for October as I lost my first 1200 photos which is the first five days of the trip my Sd card went missingit had our pictures from the 3-D dessert party, time in Epcot, mk & ak, tons of photos with Andrew's parents and some really cute ones of aria with her Papa, my whole birthday day - so upset I can't stop thinking about it. Disney lost & found is not being very helpful (they weren't after my August trip either and my iPhone charger was never returned). I wish I was still on property so I could go knock on the door of my beach club room and ask them lol. I can't call the room without knowing their name. I think I know exactly where it was - if housekeeping didn't throw it away. Ugh I am so stupid.
Trying to keep up the positive thoughts about your memory card and that they will find it or you will randomly find it in a suitcase pocket or something.
Obviously doesn't totally replace it but having the Photopass pictures it as least something - and you will still have your memories, etc.
Sounds like a great lineup of trips for next year!
As of now not sure what we will do next year. Maybe just a week in the Finger Lakes in the spring.
Probably going to skip Disney next year. We are hoping to do an Adventures by Disney in 2016 when Emma will be old enough to leave so need to save our pennies next year
Though, given that the kids won't come on that trip and that would mean at least 2 years in a row they wouldn't go we might sneak something in next fall if we can do it using Military Salute tickets and use our timeshare (a.k.a., on the cheap)
I'm with Phil on hoping those pictures show up in some random place at home.
Travel plans sound awesome!
I'm not sure how I didn't realize that our tentative May land-and-sea overlaps with your May dates (slightly). We'd probably be arriving either the 15th or 16th. That whole trip is up in the air (despite having the cruise booked), since Dug's job change might mean he can go to a conference in LA the week prior, which may mean changing our trip to Disneyland. We'll see. But thanks for the reminder that we should figure out and book ADRs next month for May! I hadn't even thought about it yet.
Knowing you, I would say to get Aria an AP. Unless you are trying to find reasons to keep yourself from jumping on a good condo/airfare deal.I have a tough time imagining you NOT adding another trip or extra days or something.
Will you do a TR for France? I'd love to hear about it!
A week at the finger lakes sounds wonderful! That is a trip we would love to do again. Where are you thinking of going with ABD? You aren't going to bring the kids? I am excited to read Khertz report on her ABD tour, but since I enjoy trip planning so much (and the freedom of traveling by ourselves, plus the cost is much higher than doing things ourselves) I just don't see us ever taking one.
Timeshare & Military tickets sound just about how I am fitting in WDW next year! LOL! We are going on the cheap as well. Can't get much cheaper than $47.50/night at Shades (splitting with Lynda!) for May, and December I am still undecided whether to rent BLT points or just stay at a cheaper condo. We'll see.
The ABD we really want to do is the one they have announced that combines two trips - to San Fransisco / Napa valley and then up to Disneyland for the behind the scenes tour there - and then they add in a stop at Lucas studios
Given that it is wine country and then behind the scenes at Disneyland figure it isn't really kid friendly. Plus that would make it crazy expensive as kids prices are much less than adults
Only thing is I reached out and they said that since they are doing it twice in the next year they don't expect to be doing it in 2016 - but we shall see.
Talking to Judi last night seems like we will not be doing Disney at all next year - I think she just wants to take a break and wants to do more Finger Lakes next year since it has been so long since we have been there (we used to do it twice a year but haven't been there at all in 2-3 years) - so we might to that in the spring and again in the summer (one of the wineries we are members of does a big summer picnic event)
We will, most likely, do the Hershey DISMeet again though in the spring, so that will have to be my Disney fix for the year
very cute pictures - Aria seems really into the magic shot ones!
Glad you found someone to take the "walking to the castle" picture![]()
That sounds like an awesome combo!! Napa & DL! We will be doing something like that prob in 2-3 years as I really want to show Andrew & Aria Monterey & Carmel, and of course include some Napa and Disneyland time as well.
The Hershey DISmeet was so cool to read about. Do you know when it will be? If only it coincided with Easter, as we hope to go to DC for the Easter Egg Roll. (And Hershey is sort of on the way)
