My AKL Review!

We just returned from a 5 night stay at AKL. I loved waking up in the morning and seeing the giraffes, zebras and other various animals. We had great rooms, they were deluxe Savannah rooms, room #'s 5527 and 5529. They were in the Zebra Trail. The service of the CM's was wonderful and the resort was clean and well maintained. It just wasn't for me! The decor and the lighting was too dark and the aroma from bomas bothered my stomach. I prefer the light and brightness of the BC, I also like the aroma of the BC which to me smells like a combination of bleach and chlorine. This is just my opinion and my taste preference. So don't get mad. I am glad we stayed there this one time we did enjoy the experience, we just won't go back.

Yes Cali, they were connecting and they were right in the middle of the Savanah. 5527 had a queen, a set of bunk beds and a daybed. 5529 had 2 queens. I did not ask for a room with bunk beds but since there were 4 adults and 2 kids on the reservation they must have assumed we would want bunkbeds. I would have liked to get a peek at the "regular rooms", these rooms were the deluxe and were about the same size as a room at the BC in my opinion.
