Well today was my first day off. I was caught off guard because we just started and already we have 2 days off in a row which is nice to some new-bees but for me who has to pay rent and pay off a credit card bill is not too hot lol.

I'm picking up a shift at BBB tomorrow from 2-8. I figured that way I can see all my BBB FGITs, make princess dreams come true, and attempt to pay off some of my credit card bill. I will pretty much be working 8-5 every day which will be a breeze compared to BBB 13 hour shifts..minus the heat outside and I'll have 2 days off..back to back, but they are unknown right now.

There is a kids camp today and tomorrow at AK so they are using the classrooms that we need to classroom train. I just home that the info is not hard and I'm not spending my nights with a nose in a book again..I'm so over that haha.

Tomorrow I am not planning anything. We have some major house issues we need to discuss with the office at our house. We still don't have cable and want compensation. $25 bucks each is fair enough you would say?? We're supposed to have digital cable..right now we have analog and like 2 channels lol. Our spa is also still messed up and strong..not as bad as before so we want them to partially drain it and refill it to make it happy again!! We have been using it pretty faithfully so it is a must for us lol.

And of course I'll be working 2-8. After looking over my bills today, I'm starting to think I should have picked up an open to close but I'm working thurs fri sat 8-5 so I don't want to burn myself out the first week.


So today...

I had plans to hang out with my friend Tyler (from dis!!) who is a CP at MK. We met at Epcot but before I went on an adventure to find mary-jane shoes for BBB since i threw my old ones away. I could not find any crocs and settled on $50 sketchers I met Tyler at around 1ish. When we got inside a man handed us 4 FP for TT woo! We went to MS and got a FP. We then got in line for SE and it broke down and it was over 20 mins until they evacuated the line but told us it was broken. Now I was in Ops for Idlwild and that is the LAST thing you tell guests bc then they will fear riding it the rest of the day and then another CM said it will be up in a 2 hours or so which you can't say either. Needless to say we went to Guest Relations to let them know and were given a comp FP so of course we used it for Soarin which had a 95 min wait! After all that fun and lunch at Electric Umbrella we left and went our own sep. ways.

On the way to Epcot, I tried to use my phone charger and it didnt work so when I got home I tried my wall charger..also would not work so Katie and I went on a adventure to Verizon to find me a phone lol. The man at service said it was broken and a new phone would be sent in 2 days and they can't transfer my numbers or some BS like that?! In the meantime I bought a "ghetto" phone that I'll return when my new one comes. I was not happy bout that Oh well...

We then stopped at Steak n' Shake and Elyse and Erin met us there. Afterwards we had a hot tub party at our house with Meghan when she got off work but our hot tub is too strong so we went to the club house where their hot tub is the same temp as the pool...we can't win lol.

And well here I am!!!

Fun day..tired so I'm going to head to bed cuz I get to make princess dreams come true tomorrow!!!!!

and yeah for you for trying to pay on or pay off a credit card while working for the dis! the only thing i did was rack up massive amounts of debt when i was there. of course only making min wage didn't help. and getting 50% off at Christmas- well i went crazy! lol- so good luck and don't work too hard though or overdo it.

so what's next on your list that you want to try and mark off?

I begin training tomorrow but I heard a rumor that we will have at least a week of classroom training before we are outside in the parks so I may or may not be outside when you are here If you will be online during that time I'll let you know, if not you'll have to stop by and find me!!

I'm not really sure lol. Right now I'm not getting paid..well until next week and with only 3 weeks to have rent, I'm going to go very light this month esp because I want to start paying off some of my credit card so I'm going to take it easier than normal haha. The girls want to see Cirque again on Thurs so I really really really want to go but we'll see. They also want to do Morocco on Friday and watch Illuminations so I dunno either. It's hard knowning that I had to pay away 500+ in rent but I'll get back on top!!!

Hi Dis!!!

I hope all of you had a great week and are just starting your weekends. Even thought tomorrow is Saturday it is my "Friday" as we like to call it in WDW. Sun will be my "Sun" since we don't have days off back to back this week.

Anyways, the past few days.

When we left off, I picked up an extra shift on Wed at BBB MK. Well, as expected, it was not the same. Everyone seemed stressed and not themselves I took a chair right away. Needless to say it ended up being a horror. We ended up an hour behind and I never got my "tea". I ended up having to clock out 15 mins late (they extended my time of course) but I was still charged for breaks that I never took My schedule manager is off Sat and Sun so I guess I'll have to wait another week to get that extra hour paid I was not even thanked for my time and for staying late which was crazy I thought

I doubt I'll pick up shifts every week there but maybe twice a month depending on how bad I need money.

...back to training...


Yesterday was just basic company training. We spent 4 hours in a classroom, an hour for lunch, and then walked around the park through the exploring trails. We were going to see the Birds of Prey show but it was rained out so we missed out on that. After some more scheduling things, we got to leave a bit early which was nice!!

At WDW they do schedule bids which means that based on seniority is what you get as far as choice 1, 2, 3, and so on. I put down as my normal days off either thurs/fri or sun/mon. I think next was fri/sat and sat/sun. I didn't pick those days bc in WDW "world of working" there is no set weekends so unless you have a really really really good internship, most of the time you will do bids like we did. Plus if you have weekends off, more people will bug you to switch...

Last night after work, Jenny, Elyse, Meg and I went to a Mexican resturant (by the upside down house in orlando) and we got these 64oz "mugaritas" Needless to say I drank like 25% of it and the rest is in the fridge haha.


Today was a busy/boring day as well. For 4 hours in the morning we talked about company policies (I'm wondering how many more there could be haha), Invertebrates in show boxes, and scipted presentations. We signed up for days. Jenny and I are going on Monday. We have to present w/the mic at Harambe School before the park opens. On Tues we will do Dino alone in a classroom. After that we had lunch for an hour and then did more company training and we learned about the Dinos in Dinoland. After that we got to go outside and see the Sue presentation from a former intern and then we got to FP Dinosaur!!!!!!! (all while on the clock!!!!!!).

After rushing home and changing, Meg, Jenny, and I went to Epcot to eat at Morocco for dinner. It was really good but our server didn't take our discount off so I'm hoping that I was not charged twice so I'm going to have to watch online about that. The food was good. We had the appetizer for 2 (3 of them). I really liked the beef which I didn't really like last time. As always the bread was yummy and the girls really liked the belly dancer. After dinner we found a spot in Mexico to watch Illuminations. As we were watching it started to lightning really badly but we made it to the car before it got worse!!

...and here I am!!!!!!

Lets see...

on Tues I said my phone had broken, well my new phone came in so I have to go tomorow to activate my new phone and return my loaner lol. I'm hanging out with Elyse and 2 of our guy friends so I'm not sure if that will all go down but if not, I guess a bunch of work ppl are going to PI so I'll prolly do that then since were off on Sun. Sun...I'm thinking bout TL or BB and then spending the rest of the day doing scripts with Jenny.

Mon is our Harambe School check-out day with training.

Tues is Sue Check-out with training

Wed and Thurs are group days w/a presenter (like shadowing).

We're either off on the 4th of July or the 5th of July and on one of those days we will be shadowing and starting on Sun we will be on our own!!!

Scary to think how quickly it is. I do not feel ready and I feel they are doing way too much company policy stuff and not enough content which I'm starting to worry about since I'm not a bio major. I'm sure it will come with time though.

Some news of PC...he has been texting the past few days but is either working or already had "plans" for Sun and Mon on his days off. Last night he went to IHOP with people I guess. Anyways, I'm over it..if it was for really real, it would not have taken him over a week to respond to me....

Great update as always It sounds like you've had a lot of long days. I have a question, Are there any animals you are afraid of? If so, will you ever have to do anything with them? I have a huge fear of snakes and that would be a major concern of mine.

That's sad about BBB, but I guess with a new crew it can never be quite the same. I love your Epcot pics...coincidentally, I have the same Mickey shirt as your friend. Now I was going to ask about PC since we hadn't heard about him since you returned. Well, I think you have a good outlook on the whole situation. If he were really interested, he'd be falling over himself to meet up. There's many more PC's out there...you'll find the real deal when you least expect it. Work sounds like a bear with all the policy classes, hope they nix that soon and you get on with the show so to speak. Have fun!

Hi Meg! Glad all is working out kinda well for ya! I remember Tyler from the boards, say does he have a trippie going to? Pls link me. Also, sounds like disney allows you to go back to your last post a FGIT at MK? That's great! Can you also do that in between AK or once your at your post at AK, it isn't allowed? Don't burn yourself out working so many various shifts. Enjoy the fun and rides while your at this great journey!

Sorry BBB didn't work out the way you expected. Hopefully it was just an off day and any future shifts you pick up will be better!

Woo hoo for training being almost over! So I remember when Disney e-mailed you the two scripts, there were supposed to be one or two more? Do you just have to learn the harambe and dino scripts that you've already been working on, or are they going to give you more to learn? I hope the scripts are going well for you, keep us updated!

As for the invertebrates in showboxes... I think I could handle most animals, except I think I recall seeing a CM with a showbox containing a tarantula, ugh! I hate spiders lol! What kind of animals will you have to handle?

Hey Megan. It is great to hear from you. I am sorry to hear though that BBBoutique wasn't how you expected. Maybe it will get better as you work there a little more often because you will get to know the new people better. I wish you the best of luck on your scripts when you do them live. I am sure you will do a great job.

Sorry to hear about PC but like someone before me said, the real PC will come when you least expect it. Don't worry!!!!
