My 1st Dining review with lots of Pix! COMPLETED!!

So I will say it again, this has to be the BEST counter service location EVER! Especially if you are on the DDP, this meal would have cost us $75 otherwise, And yes, we did get my nephew an adult meal, but we were told at the counter it was fine to use his point for it

This is the 2nd time we've done Ohana's and loved it both times, and not I don't mind you asking, Michaels a very skinny 8 year old, who eats like a pig some days and a bird on others

Earl of Sandwich

After breakfast at Ohana's our group of 12 went to the CSR (that's where my aunt was staying) to look around and walk the grounds. My mom wanted to see it to see if she wanted to stay there on our next trip, I on the other hand went back to our room to sleep it was our rest day after all! After a few hours they called and said to meet them at Downtown Disney for a late lunch

Since we had done WPE the day before ( I wanted to do it again ) we (they) decided to do Earl of Sandwich instead.

My nephew got the Cobb Salad. Again, off the adult menu, but was Ok'd

I got The Earl's Club

Mom got the The Original 1762

and Sis got the All American

For Dessert, (you can see them in the pix above) we got a bread pudding, cupcake, brownie, and I think a cookie.

EVERYTHING here was Delicious! So good, and so fresh. I tried the salad (before he finished it all ) and it was wonderful! I would have loved to have more, but he ate all of it plus everyone raved about their sandwiches. The only thing I thought was a little weird was you didn't get chips with them, EoS was great none the less

Great reviews so far - I'm right there with you on ABC Commissary at HS, by far and away the worst place we've ever eaten at Disney.

The breakfast flatbread at Spoodles looks yummy

I think we need to try WPE next time. I've been to Wolfgang Puck's, but not the Express. And Earl of Sandwich - yum!! We went there for the first time last November and thought it was so good. I can't believe I'd never tried it before.

Mmmm everything looks SO delic! That's great they allowed you to order DN's food off the regular menu! Wonder if most places allow that or not. It seems the kids menu's are very limited and my DD doesn't like burgers or chicken nuggets so I could be in trouble with that.

Everyone in our party of 12 loved the food, and we had 3 very pickey eaters.

Whispering Canyon Cafe <---that was the look on my Aunts face when she saw the food!

So after a long afternoon at DTD we had a 9pm ADR for WCC. I was a little worried about it being "fun" since it was so late in the evening, but I had NOTHING to worry about. As soon as we got there the whole place had to do the Hokey Pokey Seeing my Uncle do it, who's been known to be kind of a spoiled sport made the whole night for me If nothing else "fun" had happend I would have been happy, but we had the best time.

Almost all of us decided to have the endless shakes. So good, but my chocolate was a little too sweet for my taste, I know, sacrelig

Right after we got our drinks, they made all the men over 35 get up and stand in front of everyone. Then proceded to make them all do I'm a little tea pot Now seeing my Uncle do that and laugh while doing it is a memory I will carry with me for the rest of my life There are some things age will never erase

Everyone at the table ordered the Canyon Skillet, which we got Salad, cole slaw and Corn bread with. Again, I'm a Bready ( I think I made up that word ) but I loved this cornbread. Hot Fresh and GOOOOOOOOD! I would live in a cornbread house if it would last

The salad was really good too, but some at the table didn't care for the dressing it came with.

Not to long afterwards, our skillet came! Holy Crap was that a lot of food, and it was ALL wonderful!! You can see Sis giving it the thumbs up in the back

mom had to be the weirdo and order the prime rib We're meat and potatos kinda girls She had seen a pic of this online and said she HAD to have it when we went back and have it she did! She ate every bit of it, except the bite she gave me Now this was awesome!! ALMOST equal to the prime rib at Le Cellier. If not, dare I say Better? I'm torn, they were both so good, there is no way I could choose

By the time we were all done and all the fun we had, it was really late in the evening, We were having so much fun with our waitress Judith we didn't even realize the place was almost empty other then us, there were only 2 other families in the whole place. We had to take dessert to go b/c everyone was way too full to even think about eating them, but we had an amazingly fun and flavorful meal. I've said it before on this report, but I have to say it again, I would NOT hesitate to go back again.
