My 10 yo dd won an essay contest for her DARE class

She had to do a speech on it today. She did real well. Her mom on the other hand was so weepy eyed it was pathetic. As I looked at her on stage, I kept thinking "That's not the baby I gave birth to almost 11 years ago. She's growing up." And she does speeches 1000000% better than her mom does.

Thanks, Krista, Mishetta, Sandy and CBRorBust. My dd loves to write. She has a very creative mind. She was so happy that she won so that she could get to speak in front of everyone.


Sandy, so far, she says she wants to be a teacher and a nurse. If she goes into politics, she'll make shopping a holiday for everyone.

Of course. I only had 3 cameras on me. My batteries were dead in one of them though, and I'm having problems downloading pics out of my digital right now but I still got some good pics on it, and I had a couple of good fuzzy pics on my camera phone.
