Side-by-side double stroller, that is. Yes, I'm sorry to say it's another stroller dilemma.

I need a new stroller. A side-by-side. And I'm begging for your help! It's for a 4 and a 2 year old (around 35 lbs and 30 lbs). I'm going from a DuoGlider which no longer suits our needs.

Big factors for us - cupholders for adults, sturdy/strong storage space underneath, and cupholder/tray for the kids. I'm considering the following:

Graco Duo Rider - This one is iffy with me. I've read good and bad. I can't find anywhere in town that has one for me to try out, which in turn puts this at the bottom of my list. Pros - cupholders for adults and 2 separate storage bags underneath.

Peg Perego Aria Twin MT - I looked at this one at BRU today. I was very impressed by the weight. It was much lighter than mine. It also turned on a dime. Cons - One single flimsy storage bag underneath. I've read about these tearing easily and/or dragging the ground when any weight is put into it. I also read some negative things about the 5-pt harness. I didn't like the lack of a tray and cupholders (but I know this is something I'm going to have to live with). Pulling the bars on and off for the kids to get in and out of was hard and a pain in my opinion.

Combi Twin Savvy - Looking at these on the web, I think I must have looked at the Twin Savvy Sport because it didn't have any cupholders for kids and now I see the Twin Savvy EX on amazon and it definitely does. Regardless, this seemed very flimsy to me, especially the sun shades. It was nice and lightweight and it did have 2 baskets underneath, but everything else seemed like it wouldn't hold up for very long. Seats seemed flimsy, bars across the front were flimsy....I hope I'm not offending anyone who has one.

Those were the only two I saw in person. I'm also considering the Inglesina Twin Swift Double, Mac Rally Twin, and Chicco Citta Twin. I can forego the cupholders and trays, but I really need a light(er)weight stroller with some good solid storage underneath. Please help! Thank you ladies!

I have the Graco s/s and I love it. I know others have had complaints but ours has been to Disney twice and will be going again in a few weeks and we couldn't live without it. Are there other features I would like on it? Sure - but hte price was right and the seats are wider than most doubles. My oldest DS has wide shoulders so the Macs are no good for us and to be honest I think they are alot of money. If that got damaged or lost while traveling I would be beside myself! :faint: That being said- if I was going to buy a new double I would probably pick the Combi. I tried them out and I liked it the best. It seemed sturdier than the more expensive strollers out there and although I would have liked a roomier seat it was still pretty comfy for the kids. They liked it. The ONLY reason I would suggest the combi over the Graco is that it is a tri-fold stroller. Meaning it folds down and then in half so it takes up less space. princess:

My friend has the Combi Twin Savvy and she loves it! She has taken it to Disney a few times, Hershey Park and now to Cancun. She loves it!

I used a Citta Twin with my sons at 4 and 2. I bought that one b/c the Graco DuoRider we got at a garage sale for $8 finally fell apart. I picked that one b/c I knew the only place I'd be using that stroller was at WDW. My 4 year old didn't "stroll" any more anywhere else so I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg on a stroller just for WDW. I was planning a Mom and kids trip with a friend and her 2 kids so I would be alone with them and HAD to have a double. My 2 year old was a stroller sleeper too so I didn't want to rent as I'd end up carrying a sleeping kid out of the park.

Overall, I really liked the stroller! I did not encounter any doorway or walkway we didn't "fit" down yet the seats were nice and wide for the boys. I liked that the end of the seat you could adjust the seat up or down so that the older one could have 2 more inches of support to his thighs when sitting. I liked that it folds up like an umbrella stroller. Nice big cannopies too. Storage basket was plenty big enough for the assorted stuff we lugged around plus jackets for when it got cool in the evenings.

It's not exactly "light" though. It weighs about 30 lbs. My kids weighed a combined total of about 70 lbs on that trip so I was pushing 100 lbs around the parks. I did fine though. Once I got back home after the trip I noticed my legs were sore but honestly, I didn't notice it there.

Considering it was $140 and the similar Maclaren was almost $300, I was pleased with it.

So that's my review of the Citta Twin. ;)

I am a Maclaren gal now, but my daughter is 4. When she was younger I used a Combi Ultra Savvy exclusively. I also have older twins and I swore by the side by side style. Macs don't have cup holders, Combis do. Be prepared, a Combi is no Graco. It will be WAY lighter, almost to the point of feeling ceap...but it is not. The Combi Ultra Savvy is the ultimate travel stroller.
