Mvmcp ?

I haven't done MVMCP since '98. Back then they closed the park and made everyone leave and reenter for the party. Do they still do this or can you stay in the park til the party starts?

It has changed. You can enter the park after 4:00pm and get a wristband. At 6:00 they close everything but Tomorrowland and ask the day guests to leave. You can go over to Tomorrowland and get on the rides there by showing your wristband. There is also a photo station open and the first show in the Tomorrowland Theater. Then at 7:00 everything officially opens back up, although last year we were able to go to Fantasyland around 6:45 and it was open.

Okay...we are going to our first MVMCP this year and I was wondering are there more than one location to get the photos taken or is there only one? And where are the photo locations? We're going on 12/20 and have our ADR for Tony's at 6:20pm...our first time eating here and that was the earliest time I could get...really wanted 5:30ish, but we'll still have a great time.

There are photo locations open in several places. We used the one in Adventureland and had no problems back in 2003. We saw huge lines over at Tomorrowland, but Adventureland was maybe a line of 8-12 ahead of us. The lines moved quickly too and there was hot cocoa and a cookie when we were done. Maggie

Momsgoofy- You might want to try and change your dinner reservation. When we went to our first MVMCP, we made dinner PS at Tonys. I thought with us getting finished at the start of the party would be great timing. I was wrong. Everyone was already lined up 3 deep on Main St. for the first parade. It was just so incredibly crowded on Main Street. I found its much better to get to the park at 4 and get in with just your party ticket. Then at 6, you can head over to tomorrowland, hang out there, get your picture taken before the party starts and Im pretty sure the first show of Mickeys night before Christmas starts at 6:45 too. That way, by the time everything opens back up, you can have one show, pictures and the some of the tomorrowland attractions finished up!! The say to watch the 2nd parade as its less crowded, but we always watch them both!!! We found out that if you sit down on Main Street by the stores, it snows during the whole parade!!! Last Thanksgiving we went to the party twice. I cant wait for this year's party!

Thanks for the advice! I think I'm going to call back and see if I can get an earlier ADR for us. I will keep in mind that there are more than one photo spot and to do as much early....I didn't know there were 2 parade times until I just read it on another thread today...so we'll do the late one for sure.
