Mvmcp

Check the Themeparks board there have been a few posts there.

We went on Monday, the 13th. It was our second time and this year was so much more fun...I think because I did more planning. Last time we just walked around looking for the free picture place and standing in line for an hour for that (ugh!). This year, we went early and ate at LTT and watched the first Wishes (seeing Wishes twice in one night was awesome!). The first Wishes was the regular version and the second was the Christmas version. The weather was great and the park wasn't crowded at all. They did a great job on getting people in and out. After the 6 pm Wishes, we headed towards Tomorrowland and we were stopped there for our wristband. I definitely suggest being up towards the Castle if you want to watch the first Wishes, because it is a madhouse on Main Street with everyone exiting...The hour after Wishes was walk-on to all rides, we rode the Tomorrowland cars twice with about a 5 minute wait and all the Fantasyland rides between 6 and 7 pm. We couldn't get into the first Galaxy Theater show, but went to the one during the first parade and only got there 5-10 minutes early (this was not a crowded MVMCP, though, so I am sure it won't be like that on the sold out nights). Overall, everything was great. The park is so beautiful with the lights at night. Only disappointment, really, was the Christmas Tree in the Rose Garden, so no Tree Lighting Ceremony. Everything else was great! Let me know any questions you may have...

Thanks for your help. We are going on Dec 14th. I do have a question for you though. You keep mentioning Wishes, what is that? Also what time is fireworks? I don't want to miss snow on main street or the fireworks.

I think it is to late to get reservations for any of the sit down restaurants at decent times at MK. I am not used to so much planning either.

Ohiovacationer - we'll be there on the the 14th too. Wishes is the theme of the fireworks. I thought I just read on another post that it is at 9:30.

Seems to me the past two years it snowed most of the night on Main Street.

Just a hint - go to the second parade. It is much less crowded and you can get on the rides and see the shows while everyone is at the first parade.

Thanks for that idea. We are not much on waiting or crowds so that is definitely a good tip. Sure hope it isn't very cold that night. I hate the thought of taking coats to Florida.

I'd bring a coat just in case. It can get pretty cold at night in Florida sometimes. Have fun at MVMCP! I'll be there on the 19th myself!

If we are already in the park before the MVMCP starts do we leave the park and reenter with our MVMCP tickets or is there somewhere inside the park to redeem our tickets and get wristbands?

Hey, we'll be there on the 14th, too. Can't wait and Ohiovacationer, unless it's unseasonably warm, bring a coat. Last year we had our winter coats, hats and gloves and were still cold, and I'm from Illinois!

We got in at 4 pm on the first MVMCP this year.

To the OP (sorry for the delay in getting back here), the two parades were at 8:15 and 10:45. The first fireworks (Wishes) were at 6 pm (which was really for the day visitors). The holiday Wishes were at 9:30. If you haven't seen Wishes before, I highly recommend going to both shows-all the DW night shows are unlike any fireworks I have ever seen other places.

Regarding the snow on Main Street, definitely watch for it during the parades and try to get a parade viewing spot on Main Street if you want to see the snow. In a previous year, we watched the parade from the Town Square (when you first come in the park). We had great views of all of the parade and lots of character interaction on Town Square, but no snow.

Tip on the weather, if you are going to have a stroller, bring a lightweight blanket and put it in the bottom of the stroller. It is a great help while watching the parade, if it gets cold. Also, strollers are free that night. Have fun!
