alright im an annual passholder and i will be at disney for the FLE preview on a MVMCP night now while i went to MNSSHP earlier this year and had a blast but i dont really see what the value is going to the chrismas party. since i can go at any time id please and the holiday wishes and parade can be seen during the holiday season on normal days it seems to me id just be paying 60 bucks for cocoa and cookies. is there any other reason to really go?

(im not much of a meet greet person and ride wait times dont matter much since i can go at any time)

I would love to know the answer to this also. Me and my girlfriend want to go, but not sure if its worth the money.

I'm a passholder and we go every year. Why??? Because we love it. :lovestruc So I think it's well worth it even though we see the same thing over and over.

It looks as if you have answered your own question before you even asked it.

Sounds like your mind is already made up that the party is not worth it for you.
Even though I'm a AP holder I can't be there a week before Christmas (also being the crowdest time ever to the point of park closures) to see the parade or Holiday Wishes plus I go to the party in late November so I see it as a beginning to the holiday season and I like the dance parties

We did MNSSHP and doing the Christmas Party to see what it's all about. We enjoyed the Halloween Party but agreed that it wasn't worth the extra money to go to it. We had already purchased the Christmas Party tickets so we have to go, but now wish we didn't. We are annual pass holders, but live out of state, but come a lot during the year.

We're divided in my household: we both REALLY love the parties but it does boil down to the money. I think it's worth the extra $$ but DFi doesn't. We aren't going to either this year.

I've done both the party and the first day after the last party, when they start doing the Christmas parade during regular hours. It's mostly a general mood thing. The party feels like a special event. During the party, the Christmas parade is at night with the ice castle in the background, which is kind of neat. When they do the Christmas parade during Christmas week, it's in the afternoon. Also, the cookies and hot chocolate are a nice touch, and even if the party is sold out, it's still less people than on a regular day during Christmas week.

We are Passholders and don't feel that MVMCP is worth the extra money. There are so many other Christmas activities to do through out WDW that we feel like you are really paying for cocoa, cookies, and the parade. There are so many places you can see the fireworks from that I don't consider that as an exclusive item. Just not worth it for us.

That being said, we still find MNSSHP to be worth it for us. It is an expensive extra, but we still feel like we get some value out of it.

I don't think it's worth the money as a passholder, no. Even if you can't get to MK closer to Christmas to see the parade, you still get to see the castle light show and all the decorations. Plus the Osborne lights over at DHS are more impressive than the shows offered at MVMCP, and I don't even like DHS!

We did MVMCP once and that was enough, but MNSSHP is a must-do for us each year.

My family is going for the first time this Dec. It will almost certainly not be worth the $$$ ($400!), from a party aspect. BUT, this is our first time in Disney for Christmas, it's likely our last family trip before oldest DD goes off to college, the party is on my youngest DD's birthday and I want a little extra dose of Christmas cheer on our last night in Disney. For those reasons, I will make it worth it (DH doesn't want to know the cost though!).

haha well i was wondering if there was anything else that was exclusive to the party thats all

I understand. For us, we go every year. We can't go and see the things they put on after the parties end like you can. Being a passholder and somewhat local makes all the difference in the world. You are in a unique postion to really maximize what you can do, or in this case don't have to do.

Maybe someone here can help with my question. My previous AP expired and we plan to get new ones in Dec. and we are also discussing MVMCP. Can anyone tell me if they are offering AP discount tickets this year, and how much the tickets are?
Specifically are there AP discount tickets available for Tuesday Dec. 11, Thursday Dec. 13 or Friday Dec. 14?
Thanks!

MPO is no it's not really worth extra money. I loved Mnsshp but felt MVMCP was waste. I saw/did most of stuff during daylight hours. WE did it during frozen 2010, yes we had fun, enjoyed hot chocolate and I ate my weight in Apple slices but it wasn't worth 55.00 bucks. I had more fun visting osbone lights and freezing my paws off that night. WE got a parade ( rehash of Xmas day parade), Fireworks were ok but I could take or leave em.
