Ok, I will start by asking for forgiveness in advance, I know this question probably has been asked... I have given up on the search feature... so again, excuse me if i am being repetative... ;)

Anyway.... So, I will be at WDW parks for only 2 days... both those days are MVMCP at MK... so I realize we will have to leave the park early since we will not be attending this. (dec 10 and 11)

1. What time do they 'kick us out'? and how does that work?
2. How busy will the park be during the day... will this make it busier, or less?
3. Should I get a hopper, so I can go over to another park after we have to leave? Or are the other parks generally closing early then too?

Thanks! :)

You'll have to leave at 7pm. If you don't have a wristband, you'll be pointed to the exit. When we went there was lines of CM's at each Land and they wouldn't let you into the land without the wristband. Then on Main Street, the CM's let you know that you could buy a ticket and get a wristband. Otherwise you needed to leave the park. It worked well the night I went.

MK actually seemed less busy. Almost like people who wanted a full day in the park decided to do MK on a non-party day to get more time there.

World Showcase in Epcot is still open until 9pm but I don't know if it would be worth it to you to go there. Plus a couple of Future World rides would still be open.

Or if DHS is open, you could hop there and see the Osborne Lights and Fantasmic.

It's up to you - I know I would get a park hopper but then I always have them. We love to park hop. You could always wait and have them added to your tickets at guest relations in MK if you decide you want to park hop. That way you'll know for sure if you need them and won't be wasting the money.

Thank you for your help!!

Ok, so I was wondering, when it is time to go, I usually 'mosey' on Main Street so that I'm not in the middle of the crowd leaving. Will I be able to do this? Like in the shops, shopping?

I'm not interested in the Party... I just don't want to have to push through like cows being herded, lol.

Thanks so much!

I don't know the answer to that question.

I'm thinking maybe not because they put out the special MVMCP merchandise at 7pm.

Either that or you can mosy in the shops and just not buy any special merchandise.

Gee, I'm such a huge help today. :rotfl:

They post CMs at the store entries/exits, also, and you must have a wristband in order to enter after 7 PM. On party nights they pretty much 'herd' the non-party goers out of the park while most party-goers are 'herding' in. If you want to wander/shop your way out of the park, I would do it between 6 and 7 - also keeps you from the long bus lines that form at 7 when everyone is leaving.:thumbsup2

At about 6pm, they will start making announcements that MK is closing at 7pm due to a special party that night. Those without wristbands, for that party, are told to start leaving the park. There will be CMs along Main St., waving hands to show you which side of the park to exit from..usually the right side since those going to the party are entering on the left side. By 7pm, you won't be able to get into a store or a restroom without a wristband. If you are in a store at that time, you will be asked to finish your purchase as the store needs to stock for the party goers.

If you don't want to be caught in a huge group leaving the park, I would suggest leaving by 6:30. Not sure if I would feel it was worth it for just that one night to get a hopper added. You could always go to DTD. But, if there is a park that is open late that night, it may be worth it to you to be able to hop there.

Some of the posts in this thread seem very odd to me. I have attended the party several times and have never seen CMs making people leave the park. I remember on two party nights I attended in December of 2007 that there were CMs all along Main Street waving flashlights around in the air. The flashlights had long red plastic cones attached. But they did very little to direct traffic in any particular direction. At the time I can remember thinking "how silly and useless those flashlights are."

On both nights the crowds were heavy, making it very difficult to enjoy much in the Magic Kingdom. They sell way too many tickets to that "party," and do not remove many of the day guests.
