Question that I’m not sure is anyone can answer.

I saw on posts about the Boo Bash that people think it will be significantly less people let in than the MNSSHP. I’m assuming the same will be true of the Christmas after hours compares to MVMCP. That sounds great to me because the last time we tried MNSSHP it was packed and we left super early.

My question is - how many less people do you think are able to attend. 2/3? Half? 1/3? I’m trying to decide if we want to pony up the cash and try to snag Christmas after hours tickets when they are released.

It doesn’t sound worth it to me it’s so much money for so less - I’ll pay for a Christmas party again.

However at this time we don’t know about capacity they recently increased Boo Bash capacity so we don’t know exactly how much until the first so keep your eyes peeled I know I will!

No one (except WDW) knows for sure.

In the past (pre-covid times), I'd say a Disney After Hours event was ~1/3 (or less) of the crowds compared to a holiday party.

After Hours events were consistently my favorite WDW upcharge event. Hopefully they are following that model (for the number of tickets sold) rather than the old party model...

Depending on how popular your Christmas after hours date will be (and when they let people start booking), you might want to wait for reports from the 2nd halloween after hours (the first is always different because all the bloggers go then). Of course, the halloween AH events sold out super quick, so maybe that advice is bad...

Yep ... a lot of people will be looking to the crowd levels of the Boo Bash as a gauge. From chatter and popularity of the Boo Bash on social media it sounds like they sold a lot of tickets ... but that really remains to be seen until the parties start. Even if the crowds are lower compared to the older parties, without parades you may not have something to pull people away from the attractions and character meets, meaning lines will still be long.

What I'm learning is that people's idea of what's a long line are very different.

If 45 minute wait at Boo Bash for all the rides, yeah, that sucks.

15 -20 minute waits at the longest, more shorter? I'd find it worth it. I don't want it to be dead empty. The people in costumes make up a lot of fun of the night!

That's a big part of it to me for these. No parades and no meet and greets it seems, just character sightings, means even more people going to the rides.
