We have a trip planned for 11/30-12/5. There were 5 of us, so I went ahead and bought the tix. Three of the people traveling with us are active duty airforce, well you guessed it. Today 2 of them got notice that they will be deploying and cannot go on the trip. Do you think if I call and/or write Disney and tell them the circumstances they will refund the two tickets? I can get copies of orders, etc...if they need proof, or will I be stuck eating the tickets?

While I don't know from personal experience, I have seen replies to other threads on the boards where folks say they were able to refund when something came up like an illness or such and obviously you have a really good reason for cancelling. I would suggest calling WDW to find out for sure. Good luck!

Yes, they will refund. First call Disney World ticketing explaining the situation. They will tell you to mail back the tickets to the address on the receipt and also you will need to include the cc# you used as well as the expiration date.

I had to return our tickets from last year when DH was undergoing cancer treatment (totally unexpected). I called them, they were very courteous and helpful. I did not have to give them the cc#, they told me it would automatically be credited to the card that was used to purchase.

I recently had to return my tickets for MVMCP which we had for Dec. 9th of this year as it turned out that my Mom's infusion treatment (a medical procedure she requires for health issues) could only be scheduled that day by the visiting nurse folks at our resort. I called the ticket center (number is on the sheet with your tickets), explained the situation and they were great. I mailed the tickets back, they refunded them, then issued new ones for the date we could make it and refunded the difference back to my CC as the original tickets were more expensive.
