MVMCP sold out

Only if they were interested in possibly having their employment terminated.

I should have clarified with ex-MK CM so that no one is worried about being termed. They gave us the estimate all the time at Epcot and the management never acted like it was some super magic ruining secret. We couldn't flat out give the number but we could tell people if it was suppose to be a busy day etc.

I checked yesterday and you could still buy tickets for the 15th. We will be there that night also, hoping that any rain would move on quickly if it comes. I am assuming for a paid event like this, it would take some pretty torrential downpours to see the masses exit.

Ugh, please don't say the R word. lol

Last paid party we went to was a Not-So-Scary Halloween party a couple years back. It poured, torrentially like you mentioned all night. It calmed down (but not stopped) enough for Hallowishes to happen, but the parades were cancelled, and we all got sick a couple days after. Was an absolute nightmare!

We need some pixie dust to help keep our night dry! :)

I also wonder about the sold-out parties. According a few websites, some parties take longer to sell out than others, but pretty much every party does sell out even if it's the day of. So- why do some sold-out parties seem more crowded than others?

I attended the Dec 8 sold out party and while crowded found it very manageable. The only time it felt out of control was after Holiday Wishes when there was a mass exodus from the hub. My son and I rode multiple rides multiple times, enjoyed the parade, had an outstanding view of the castle and fireworks from the front of Tony's. We did see lots of long lines at the character meets so be prepared for waits if that is a priority. Had a fantastic night!!!

I was at 2 sold out parties this year one MNSSHP and MVMCP and I thought they were completely manageable. Longest lines were Jack and Dwarves at both parties no lines for trick or treat or for cookies great spot for both fireworks actually same spot for both LOL. I think its whatever your definition of manageable is. Have you ever been to the MK on July 4th or Christmas Day? id so then it will be less crowded then those days, if you only go during January or September then yes it will be more crowded than those days

So the rides have generally low wait times during the parties? All parties or certain ones more so?

I was in the MK once and a CM shared with us that there had been 30K in the park the day before and they were expecting double that for that day. It was very interesting information to have since we were there both days and definitely could feel that difference. The 30K day was delightful. The 60K day felt very crowded and busy, definitely not as magical.

The 8th ened up selling out? We didn't think it was that busy at all!

So on an average day, not super busy, but not dead either, how many people does Disney generally see? Anyone have a guess?

About how many at the average party?

Yes, I tried to get a ticket on Monday, guest services said it sold out on Sunday.

I had a total brain fart. We went November 8th the first party. For some reason I didn't read December just the 8th.

Well it depends on the park. Each one will have a low mid high amount. I have been gone for a year so can't really remember the numbers any more. Will have to see if I snuck any backstage pictures that had the numbers on it.

Sorry, I'm referring to the Magic Kingdom only.

We were at the party on the 8th. Main Street for the first parade & wishes were busy, but otherwise I found it fine. My DH & DD rode lots of rides walkon or with 5 minute wait. We didn't wait for many characters but they had longish lines.

That's a very typical description. Those trying to do party specific things on a sold out night will say it felt crowded and sold out. Those who spend a lot of time doing rides will say it wasn't bad.
