Hoping to catch the first parade when we attend MVMCP on Tuesday, November 30. We will be up early and hopefully be at Cindy's for breakfast, stay in the park until mid day, go back to room for naps (kids (10 and 6) AND adults), eat dinner and then back to MK for MVMCP. Does anyone remember what time the first parade started this year. We want a great seat and want to make sure we get snowed on. What time do we stake out our spot? An hour or 30-45 minutes prior to parade?
Never been to Christmas party but have attended MNSSHP. Thank you very much.

I believe the first parade was at 8:00 last year. If you want a spot on Main Street, I would get there no later than 7:00. You can enter the park with just your MVMCP ticket after 4:00 (if they follow the last 2 years).

The parade was at 8:15PM. I think we sat down 30-45 minutes before. We sat back in frontierland though. Basically we got there and were sent back to Tomorrowland and we sat down for the first showing (6:15) of Mickey's Twas the Night before Christmas show. After that we walked down mainstreet and checked out the special merchandise and bought t-shirts. We put them on and walked back up Mainstreet and enjoyed the snow. We went to Adventureland for our picture & cookies and hot cocoa. Then we went to Frontierland to stake out seats. We got good seats on a half wall next to Pecos Bill's Cafe.
Hope that gives you an idea of what you can get done before you sit down for the parade. I'm not sure about how early they started sitting on Mainstreet. Good luck!

Thank you :) Is Main Street where I want to be if I want to get "snowed" on? I really wish we could enter at 4 pm but we will already be in the park that day early, I hope, for Cindy's breakfast. It is already our MK day. I tried to change my schedule around but we also will be doing a day at US and I really wanted my day after MVMCP to be a "free" day. I didn't want us (my mom and my family of 4-incl. 2 children 6 and 10) to be out until 12-1 am and then up early the next day. The only thing I have planend the day after MVMCP is dinner at Whispering Cannon adn then sleigh ride. Hopefully we can sleep in and enjoy our resort, husband golf, etc.
So, I think from listening to you guys, I need to be in the park before 7 and then have our seats, on Main Street, by 7 pm to wait for the parade. Thanks. :)
