MVMCP or pirates cruise

We are planning a 6 night five day trip for November and I can't decide which one my kids would like better. We have a 5 and 7 year old boys. We will be having 4 day hopper tickets and so this would be on our "day off".

What would you chose if you had to?

We took a 10 trip in July so this is a much shorter trip then we are used too. Just want to get in as much magic as I can lol.

I'd definitely do MVMCP. The parade and fireworks are quite nice, as are the character meets and low wait times for attractions.

Agreed, MVMCP is a really a cool experience that I feel all true Disney fans would enjoy at least one time. Not sure what your family touring style is, relaxed or commando, so not sure what you mean by "day off." Do you want one or you have one?...but if I had to choose between the two I would choose the extra park night over the pirates cruise. My kids had a great time on the cruise & Dad & Mom had a relaxing few hours...well I relaxed while she relaxed/worried. The cruise would be cheaper but I still would take the extra park night...& if you need to know why check this web-site's MVMCP videos.

Plus, if the boys are really into "pirates" spend an afternoon in Adventureland. Start with a ride on POTC (to get them in the mood), have them get made-up at the Pirates League (with an appointment of course), then depending on timing they can either take part in Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Tutorial before or after doing the 'Pirate's Adventure ~ Treasures of the Seven Seas'...then obviously/hopefully one more ride on POTC.

(We are headed down in April and want to get my son to try to take part in jack sparrow's tutorial before headed over to the bigger Jedi Training Academy.)
