I will be in WDW beginning Nov. 19th, with my three children ages 12, 6 & 4. We have never been during the holidays so we are looking forward to seeing all the decorations, etc... We have been to the Halloween party before but never the Christmas one. If you had a choice, would you stay one extra night or go to the Christmas Party? This is my first time traveling without my husband with us and am worried that the party could be more stress than it's worth. The cost of the party for 4 would be equal to staying an extra night so I am considering staying an extra night instead of going to the party. What would you do? Thanks in advance!

Party. It's a fun experience. And you can usually get as many rides in during the party as you would during an extra day at the park.

Assuming the extra night would mean an extra day in the park.......that for sure. We choose not to do the party with our boys as preschoolers as the night is just too late for them and leaving too early is a waste of time. The party was fun, when we did it a few year later, but a whole extra day at WDW is way better.

Thanks everyone! I was thinking the same thing about my girls still being so young. My 12 year old son could handle the late night, but my 6 and 4 year old might not. Plus, I have heard that it's near impossible to get a good spot to the see the parade unless you have a place staked out an hour prior to show time. I can't imagine I will be able to keep my kids happy sitting on Main Street for an hour prior to the parade. :(

It's actually pretty easy to get a spot at the second parade on party night. Last time we were there, we walked right up from 10 minutes before it started. The early parade is usually really busy.

Given a full day longer of vacation vs. the party, I would choose the extra day every time. The Christmas party is fun, but not nearly as good as the Halloween party in our opinion.

We're leaning towards an extra day VS the party. We've done MNSSHP twice and LOVED it but I'm not getting the same feeling with MVMCP.

I am one who voted extra day without a question. It would be a much harder decision if it was MNSSHP. We love that party! I just don't find MVMCP to be nearly as worth it and there is so much other Xmas stuff happening all over that you don't have to pay extra for. For MNSSHP, its a little different because there really isn't much going on outside of the actual party.
