Just wondering why the Magic Kingdom Christmas party is not offered during Christmas week? Does anyone know why not?? We've been to the world a few times but never during Christmas week.....looking forward to it!!
The parks and resorts are way too crowded to shut them down that early.
In contrast to the parks closing early for a hard ticket party, they stay open later each night.
You'll find the Christmas Parade at 12:00 and 3:30 from December 20th - 31st. Celebrate the Season Castle stage show replaces Dream Along with Mickey during those dates and a Totally Tomorrowland Christmas stage show will also take place in Tomorrowland.
There'd be tons of PO'd guests if MK closed early during such a busy time and people were asked to pay extra to stay in the park after dark. Disney wouldn't dare try this. Yet.

It's confirmed for this year and traditionally, the Christmas shows take over regular "programming" for the Christmas season. The Christmas parade and Castle Lighting show are confirmed through the 31st.

A lot of the stuff offered at the party is offered during Christmas week. I would be happy to not have to pay extra for the parade, shows and fireworks.
