I have realized that there will be 2 chances for us to attend this while we are there in December. It will be me, DH, DS (6) and DD (2). I'm sure that there will be lights, so DD will LOVE  it. But what all is there to do for 5 hours? :confused3

there are live performance in all parts of the park, all the rides are open, the parade that runs on those nights is only for MVMCPs, the fireworks are way too cool, hot cocoa and cookies(okay not the greatest), and of course seeing the park after dark all lit up for christmas. oh i almost forgot~snow on main street. actually, we do not stay for the full 5 hours. we usually leave after the fireworks. :earboy2:

Now a real Disneyfreak would know that just to be at the Magic Kingdom with all the Christmas stuff going on is more than enough.

I plan to stay as long as absolutely possible the night we are there. My DW and 32yo DS have been forewarned!

Thanks for all the info!!!! I think that we are going to try it. We have never been around Christmas before. The reason I was asking if it was worth it is in order to go that night. . we will have to go to the room for a power nap. We arrive on Friday am and DH will have been up since about 2am. (unless I can convince him to leave Thursady night!!!!!)

I asked a question similiar to this not that long ago and got a mixed bag of responses. We finally decided that there was only one way to find out and that was to experience it for ourselves. Which is what we are doing on Nov. 29! :cheer2: Have fun!

We've never been either, but wanted to experience it at least once. We'll be there Tuesday Dec 13th and are hoping it won't be too crowded. How can we get a schedule of the activities?

We're trying it too. We didn't go to MNSSHP when we were there in 2003 and I have always regretted it. We are going on Sunday night (12-04) I can't wait!

It is absolutely fantastic (IMHO) and our yearly family tradition - we would not miss it - our wall is filled with framed photos from the Christmas Party - great way to get into the holiday spirit, as if being at Disney was not enough during the holiday season, it is such a special time. Counting down the days until we arrive - 36 days 23 hours, 44 minutes and 1 second. Have a great time.

It is sooooo worth it IMHO! The park is beautiful, it's "snowing", the rides are open, free cookies and hot chocolate, a free picture, and getting to be in MK until midnight instead of 6 p.m. I love it! We'll be there on the 13th! I just got my tickets in the mail yesterday!

We're going on Dec. 13th and really looking forward to it! Went to MNSSHP last year and had a blast - even though spent most of the night riding snow white and winnie the pooh with DD2! It's just such a cool experience to be in MK at night as everything looks totally different (in a good way!)

We're going on the 13th, too.

At first, I wasn't going to go. I changed my mind last week. It took less than a week to get my tickets mailed to me. We've never been to MVMCP, but we have been there when the park was closing at 6pm. I'll never forget that huge line of people trying to get into the park for MVMCP!!! It's the longest line I've ever seen. We were so happy we were leaving. I'm hoping it's not going to be over crowded on the 13th (but it seems EVERYONE from the DIS is going that night).

It is definitely worth it. I asked my 2 DDs what was the one thing they wanted to do on this trip and that was it...MVMCP!!!! The festivities are just amazing everyone is in the Christmas spirit and it shows. The Parade is just magical!!! Worth getting good seats and waiting for it. The snow on Main Street the Carollers singing..you just have to experience it. Make your own conclusion.

We've never been at this time of year, so we are definitely going to try MVMCP on Nov. 29. It sounds magical...can't wait... :hourglass 40 days.

The Christmas party is great! DH and I went last year and had so much fun. The parade is magical, they do a special version of wishes, there are free cookies and hot chocolate, and it snows on Main Street.

One thing we noticed was that the park really clears out after the first parade. We were able to ride lots of rides with just a small wait in the beginning of the night, then we watched the second parade and finished the night with more rides. Everything was walk on at the end of the night. Our last ride was Peter Pan at 2 minutes to midnight. We had a great time, and are going again this year.

Well, I just got off the phone from ordering my tickets!!! :Pinkbounc So I guess that makes it official!!!!
