Planning a November 16-22 trip and have MVMCP tickets on Thursday the 20th.

This is our first MVMCP (excited!) and I want to make the most of our time since our boys won't make it much past 10pm.

The plan is go to MK that morning (we are early risers, so will be there at rope drop and I believe there are EMH that day).... head back to the resort around lunchtime for swimming and nap for our youngest.

We have appointments at Harmony Barbour Shop for both boys at 4pm, meaning we will be there by 3:45ish. We also have a ressie at Liberty Tree Tavern (LTT) at 5:15. So as of right now the line up looks like...

- 8am: MK
- 12pm: back to resort for lunch, swimming, nap
- 4pm: Harmony Barbour Shop appts
- 5:15pm: LTT reservation
- MVMCP

I'm worried we're "wasting" MVMCP time eating at LTT. Should we try to eat somewhere CS instead? If so, where? And won't it be REALLY busy around that time with everyone packing in for MVMCP? We will eat lunch around noon, and won't have much time between naptime and our Barbour Shop appts.

Also, recommend your fave parts of MVMCP and what you DO during the party... wander aimlessly and enjoy? Stand in line for specific characters? Gorge on cookies and hot chocolate? Do tell! :)

5:15 isn't MVMCP time, though. Although you can enter MK with just a party ticket as early as 4 (and that's really just so you don't have everyone trying to enter at 7, but instead have it spread out over 3 hours), the party events don't start until 7, so all you would be able to do before 7 is ride rides. The only possible caveat to this though is if you're interested in meeting the Seven Dwarves, in which case you want to get in line well before 7 (I think I've read that people get in line as early as 6.)

As for my favorite parts of the party, it's those things that are unique to the party. So definitely the parade (it's highly recommended that you see the second one for much lower crowds), Holiday Wishes, and the stage shows.

As PP said, your dinner ressie is before the party starts so enjoy your dinner. After dinner, if you have the time, get in a ride or two. I went to my first MVMCP last year. Between 4 and 7, we mostly went on some of our favorite attractions. We made it back to the castle for the lighting which was pretty cool so I recommend seeing that if you can.

We spent most of the party wandering, eating cookies and hot chocolate, seeing the shows, parade, and fireworks. I definitely recommend doing the parade and fireworks.

The lines for the characters can be pretty long, and in fact, we only stood in line for Donald, Daisy, and Uncle Scrooge. But there are unique characters at the party so if there is someone that your kids love that isn't fairly unique to the party, it's probably worth it to make time to get in line for them.

Oh, I completely forgot about that. It's not party-exclusive though (it should happen about 6, 6:15), so you don't have to worry about missing it because of your ADR if you've got another day planned for MK.

I couldn't remember what time it was, all I could remember was that it was before the party. :)

Also, I saw you were from Illinois as well so I wanted to give a wave and say greetings from the SW Burbs. :)
