MVMCP Dinner advice?

We had originally planned to skip the party, but my daughter has now decided that she really wants to go. We would be there 11/20, which I know will be very crowded.

Our original plan had us spending the day at MK and eating an early dinner at Beaches and Cream (5 pm). I imagine that we will now spend the morning in Epcot, then take an afternoon nap. The issue is that there are no ADR's in the MK in the late afternoon/early evening, and skipping dinner or grabbing counter service is truly not an option for a few reasons.

Is it insane to keep the B&C ADR, even though it means we would not arrive to the party until it starts? Our only must dos are to see the parade and fireworks. We will probably try to meet a character (either dwarves or Jack) at the end of the party.

Is there nothing at any of the MK resorts either? I would keep trying to find something closer to MK, but keep the B&C (or make it just a little earlier). If you end up with the B&C as your only option, get there around 4:30, so you can hopefully get in early and eat.

I wouldn't keep the B&C ADR. Keep looking in and around the MK. Something will come up.

Anything you can do to lessen the hassle factor of entering the park while everyone else it exiting is worth doing.

The only thing I saw at the MK resorts was a 5:55 at Artist Point, which isn't any better time wise. What time would you suggest arriving at MK?

As soon after 3 PM as possible. Are you looking for early dinner times as well? If they are all taken, keep checking. ADRs are CC guaranteed so people will cancel.

We're doing a "big, late" sit down lunch at The Wave at 1:45. We'll just do counter service for supper in the MK, grabbing food when/if we are hungry and maximizing our party time for the party!

We're going to the party on Dec 6th. Our plan is to have dinner at Peco's Bill during the 1st parade. This strategy worked great for us at the MNSSHP in 2014. We actually got to catch the parade from the dining room....it was raining, so we stayed dry :) I know Peco's Bill's isn't for everyone but we're really looking forward to trying the new menu. I do believe they have a kids menu too.

I just checked and there is availability at Fort Wilderness Trails End Buffet at 4:30. That is a short boat ride away from the MK might be your best choice this late in the game.

I just landed a california grill for 5:05, where we'll just have sushi and flatbreads, so we should get through in time to walk over.

Unfortunately we need a real restaurant because I have one daughter with very specific dietary needs and another one who's severely disabled and in a large wheelchair, which makes carrying to go type food problematic.

We have done, and plan to do what leebee suggested. We have a hearty, main meal at lunch, a relaxing few hours followed by entry to MK at 4. We snack as the mood dictates through the evening. This has been our strategy for about 6 or 7 parties, and we like taking a break to graze and get off our feet rather than spending precious party time sitting through a dinner.

Have a great time at your MVMCP!
