HI we have very good friends who are DVC members and have rented us their points for a November trip. We are interested in going the Mickey's Very Magical Christmas Party while we are there. We noticed that DVC members are able to buy tickets for this event (on certain dates) for a discounted price. So my question is, can my friend who is a DVC member buy the tickets for us prior to our trip? Or since we will be staying at a DVC resort as guest can we buy at the DVC price? Or should we just pay rack rate and be grateful we get to stay at a DVC resort!:thumbsup2
Thanks for any information!

Last year the MVMCP tickets were held at the MK will call window and I had to show my DVC card to pick them up. I was told that they don't mail the tickets for this reason. They need proof of the discount. Sorry.

You have really answered your own question.

DVC Member discounts are for DVC Members.

If your DVC Member friend purchased tickets for you, another actual Owner might be locked out of the event.

It's sorta like asking for a military discount, even though you're not military.

So, my advice is.....

just pay rack rate and be grateful we get to stay at a DVC resort!:thumbsup2

Thanks, thats what I thought! Not much of discount from the advance purchase anyways!! Just glad to be going! It was nice of her to offer, but we don't want to do anything she shouldn't!
