MVMCP 2014 ~ Questions...and lots of them!

We are planning to visit WDW in November but I have a few questions I'm hoping someone can help me with.

1) When will tickets go on sale for MVMCP?
2) We are hoping to go for the Wine and Dine Half Marathon weekend, will the party be running then?
3) How do the new Magic Bands work if you are just entering the MK for the party? I'm worried about losing a day at the parks because of this.
4) Can your DVA be used for the purchase of tickets for MVMCP?
5) When do they typically post the dates for the party? We want to make ressies and other plans but I don't want to leave the park during the party.

My head is swimming with questions that I need answered before we book. PLEASE help!

2. MVMCP typically runs from second week of November to third week of December, give or take.
3. Too early to tell for this year. Last year, WDW was discouraging party tickets linked to MDE accounts.
4. What is DVA? If Disney Visa--sure.

2- Yes.
3- That issue is going to be addressed by then (probably/maybe.)
Regardless, you can use a separate ticket for MVMCP if there still is a problem with the MB's.

I'll bet DVA is Disney Vacation Account. I have no idea if that's the right name for it or not, or how it works.

You will be able to use your DVA to purchase any type of theme park tickets.

No idea if they will have it fixed by the end of this year, but for last years parties, they advised that you should use your hard ticket to enter the party and should not link the party tickets to the bands, or else you faced the chance of many MB glitches. I saw reports from many people who had linked that they had issues. My friend linked her MSSHP party tickets to the MB, and when they got to WDW, their bands didn't work for 2 days and they spent hours at the front desk and at guest services trying to get them fixed. They were told by multiple CMs that the problems were caused by them linking party tickets....now whether that is actually true or not- who knows.
