I'd love to hear other reports from others on whether this is the case.

Hopefully they are consistent about it for all parties.

i'm going this Tuesday! This will be my 2nd one though but my friend who I'm going with has never been.

We will be going to this even for the first time on the 18th. I see some great links to the events and even locations for character meet and greets. However I am still confused with all the events going - the parade, the shows, the lights, the fire works, the rides, the meet and greets.

Is there a good strategy for getting the most from this event? Best spots to be, times, moving from place to place?

Are there fireworks at the end of MVMCP?

I love Disney I don't know about anyone but I would make it a point to be there at night for the parade it is well worth the wait

I doubt that they will have talking Mickey unless they also have a talking Minnie.

Mickey made appearences on Wednesday, Nov 9 MVMCP for another testing... hopefully they continue to test through the rest of the year/parties but no telling.

WOW!!! Has anyone ever confirmed how many tickets are sold to be "sold out"? I just bought our tickets for 12-11 last week, I'm glad I didn't wait until we were there!

They don't release the limit. I suppose that way it can be a moving target.

I do recall that last year's Veteran's Day party was crazy busy. With it being on a friday this year, I'm not all that surprised.

Confirmed? No. But the number is generally believed to be somewhere north of 25K. How far north is a good question.

talking Mickey at MVMCP...is great...even if hit and miss!

DH and I talked through must-haves for party night. He was interested in the dwarves until I showed him a picture of them.."they aren't real dwarves or kids in dwarves costumes, nevermind...". The thought of a dwarf being as tall as his wife took the fun out of it. Shocking, I know!

What order would you suggest for us...this is our must haves...We will move very slow as with a grandparent with heart condition and our little ones!

Captain Jack
Mickey and Minnie
First parade ( need good spot where grandma can find a spot to sit while waiting.)

In between we will soak it all up...see more characters if lines short, eat cookies

DH and I talked through must-haves for party night. He was interested in the dwarves until I showed him a picture of them.."they aren't real dwarves or kids in dwarves costumes, nevermind...". The thought of a dwarf being as tall as his wife took the fun out of it. Shocking, I know!

LOL! Maybe they need to add a shrinking corridor to the dwarf location like they do with Tink. Then you can tell your DH the dwarfs might not be tall, but instead HIM shrunk down to their size!

We found a great place for grandma- in front of the Hall of P are white benches. We spread out a big blanket in front and sat and she stayed on the bench. Since the parade comes from FL you are right on the turn and have a great front on view.

How are the lines for Captain Jack Sparrow? Where is he exactly in Adventureland? Is it best to try and see him right away or later in the night? We will be absorbing all the magic until the last second, so no fear of missing him by leaving early.

I have been stressed trying ti figure out where to watch parade with grandma....this sounds perfect. For 8:15 parade when should I line up?

Can Grandma walk up stairs? The balcony over the train station is the perfect place for parade watching, and has comfy seats to-boot! Not such a good view of fireworks though.
