MVMCP 2011 Thread

Anybody have pictures of this years party merchandise so i can plan and spend in advance my money!:banana::banana:

Josh over at Easy WDW has pics up of some of the merchandise on his November 10th entry about MVMCP. http://www.easywdw.com/ But fair warning, depending on when your party date is, the pickings might be considerably less. We've gone during the last week of parties the past two years and there really wasn't a lot of merchandise left. :sad1:

Help Figuring out which night to go (and maybe some vacation planning advice too, if you are so inclined ;) )

Please forgive me if I have asked this before - just finalizing plans as we leave for Fl in less than 2 weeks (eek). We are flying into Orlando on a Friday afternoon - the 25th, day after T-giving. Plan is to have dinner at Downtown Disney and then drive down about 3 hours South, where will stay (family) Friday and Sat night, maybe hit the beach on Sat. On Sunday, we will either drive back to Orlando midday (and hope that my kids, 4 and 19 months nap) and go to the Christmas party on the night of the 27th - or we will drive up later that day / night and just spend the night in Orlando (no party).

One benefit with such young kids is that they are well rested and able to stay awake for the party.

Monday - Sea World.
Tues - the 27th - MK. If we don't go to the MVMCP on the 27th, we will go on the 29th. We are staying off property and probably would not leave for the kids to nap. The younger one would probably nap in the stroller, but not the older one.

Given all of the above - would you recommend driving up and going on Sunday the 27th - and just do MK for the day on the 29th - or wait for the lesser crowds on the 29th and do MK and the party all in one day / night?

Hopefully this is the right place to ask this and my question makes sense. I am so excited to take them (and me!) to the Party!
Thanks for any / all help and advice!

Question for those that have been already.... During the first parade are princesses still meeting in Town hall??

We were there on Veterans Day (Friday). Crazy busy....though none of the characters had waits after Wishes. Walked right up to just about everyone including Captain Jack, and the princesses. I didn't notice if the princesses were present during the first parade.
I did like the holiday version of Magic Memories and You...for the party, I wish it would have been the whole show.
Video for those who want it spoiled.

Hey everyone! I was hoping that some of you could help me come up with a potential plan of attack for the party. As of now, we are going on Wednesday, December 7th. Here are some lists of my must-dos, as well as some things I'd like to do, but aren't necessary.

Must-dos:
-Characters: Dwarves, Belle/Beast, Mickey/Minnie
-Parade
-Wishes
-Magic, Memories, and You
-Castle stage show

Like-to-dos, but not necessary:
-Characters: Princesses, Cinderella
-Tomorrowland show

I'm probably being way too ambitious with all I want to do, so hopefully some of you can let me know what I can realistically expect to accomplish (although I know it's hard to predict since you have no idea how crowded it will be that night). I'm curious as to what the lines have been like for Belle/Beast and Cinderella. Would it be possible to get through the Dwarves (which I know is best done first), Belle/Beast, and Cinderella before the Magic, Memories and You show? Also, would it be a good idea to do the Town Square Theatre characters after the 2nd parade?

Thanks in advance to any help anyone can give me!

Ive have been really lax this trip and would like to know the same. We are going the same night. Do we hurry and eat, and get to the line for the Dwarves? Where is the line this year?

Also, can someone tell me what the Magic, Memories, and You event?

It's basically the same Magic, Memories, and You show as every other night, with the addition of a Christmas/Holiday themed section.

The thing I enjoyed most about it? During the show the Castle suddenly turned into this amazing Pink Candy Cake!!! The detail was amazing! You'd almost think someone had actually turned the castle into a giant pink cake in order to get a picture of all the details so they could project it and make it so realistic during the show.

;)

Thanks!! :thumbsup2

So Basically it's a bunch of photos that people have sent in over the year right? so if you didn't send any in, other than seeing the castle transformed, not really a reason to spend time on it?

No... The Magic, Memories, and You show uses pictures and Videos taken THAT DAY by Photopass photographers around the park. It's technically differrent every day from that regard.

Beyond that, It's just impressive and definately worth seeing at least once, and the Holiday version is cute. it even has Santa riding past the castle....

Got the tickets for Nov 30th! My sister will be meeting up with us from Japan, for the week and DH will be watching the kids this night so we can have Sisters' Night Out! They don't have this event in Tokyo Disneyland so my sis is so excited! This will be her early Christmas gift from us :cool1:

BTW - where is a good palce to watch Wishes fireworks...? My sis and I are both 5 feet tall (I guess it's not as bad when it's fireworks since they'll be up in the sky). Just want my sis to have the best night!

Thanks. We've never seen this show! Sounds fun.

We have MVMCP tickets for 12/16! :yay: We will be touring the monorail loop hotels' Christmas decorations earlier that day, and won't have a park ticket. What time will we be able to get into the park with our MVMCP ticket. I know when we went to MNSSHP in 2010, it was 3 or 4:00 in the afternoon when we could enter.
Thanks a bunch!

Due to major family health problems that came up, we're having to cancel our Christmas trip. Anyone need 4 adult / 1 child tickets to the December 16 party, please pm me!!! Monitors, please forgive me if this is against the rules!! Just trying to give someone else some fun!!

Why don't you try calling the ticket sales number and explain your situation? I've read that some people have been able to get the price of their tickets reimbursed by explaining that they couldn't attend the party. I hope that your family health problems are resolved.
