Muster Stations - When?

When do they have the muster station drills -- before or after the ship leaves port?

The only reason I ask is because if the Magic leaves port at midnight tomorrow, does that mean the drill will be past midnight? I understand that DCL is in a bind, but this leaving at midnight issue has me in a funk and is a not-so-nice surprise after finally having my power and phones restored after we lost both this afternoon.

My kids are going to be demons by midnight; have your cameras ready so you can sell the footage to the Sci Fi channel or the Vatican.

When we sailed out of Fort Lauderdale, the muster was at 4 as usual, even though many of the people did not arrive until 7:30 p.m. Should be interesting to see what they do!

Thanks. We've been told we won't board until 7, so I wonder what they will do.

There will be a lot of cranky people at muster, I suspect.

On the Sept 7 cruise we had it the next day.

They told us that it had to be done with in 24hrs of sailing.
There was a letter on the bed when we got to the cabin.

Like the last poster stated, the safety drill has to take place before sailing or within 24hrs of departure time. So sometime during the next day DCL will shut everything down and have the drill -- just one more thing to make folks very cranky about.

A midnight muster ...now there's some video I'd like to see. I can imagine people slogging around in the life vests half asleep.
