"MUST NEW EATS" at Disney Springs???

We've been inside the Boathouse and seen the boats out back, (very cool) but have not tried their food yet. SO many new places to try!!!

Any word on STK yet?

STK has good steak but you better love LOUD. It isn't designed for those who enjoy conversation (verbal), be prepared to talk to your friend across the table by texting.

I've been very pleased with Boathouse and Raglan Road. Maybe if I had not been lucky enough to eat at Morimotos in Vegas I'd try DS but it looks more like a fancy overpriced PF Changs than what I expected. Being a southern girl I have lots of fried chicken options so Homecoming isn't doing much for me. Would like to try Frontera.

The new pizza place looks great too! Too many yummy places to eat and not enough time!
Yes! For a quick bite, it looks quite good. I wondered about BB Wolf Sausage, as well. Anyone tried either the pizza or sausage spot?

Thanks for The Homecoming video review. Looks like his signature chicken is the way to go!

How did ya'll get Homecoming ADRs? Did you make it in person? Disney Dining and GF IPO both told me that they aren't booking ADRs until the 21st. Disney Dining told me I have to call back or try online after that date.

Gee...I booked through My Disney Experience app. with no trouble. Maybe things have changed though. That was about 3 weeks ago.

They're only booking ADR's that are prior to 6pm and later than 9pm. Keep trying. Disney's site is notorious for being wonky.

Ok...that makes sense! Our ressie is for before 6:00 so that's why we could do it so easily.

I found the phone number for Art Smith's on their FB page and called them directly. They aren't taking any reservations at all on Friday or Saturday. That's why nobody could make an ADR for us because we were a party of 7 on a Saturday. Oh well, I'll have to skip it for now.

Is it no reservation for all day for Friday and Saturday? I was able to make ADR for Friday at lunch time few weeks ago.

Been to Raglan Road several times - good food and fun atmosphere especially when the dancers are performing.
Went to Boathouse last fall for dinner - Fantastic! Food was very good - Filet Mignon sliders are absolutely delicious and probably the best value at WDW for only $12! Atmosphere was great - we sat outside and enjoyed a beautiful fall evening. Going back when we are in town for a day next month. But Homecoming does look tempting... :thumbsup2

Honestly, at this point I have no idea. Here's what I've been told:

GF IPO: No reservations at all, but call them with my cc so they can check for me.
Disney Dining: Taking reservations after 8/21. They will take my info but will not input it into the ADR system until sometime after the 21st. I won't get a confirmation.
Front of House Mgr at Art Smith's: No reservations at all on Fridays or Saturdays until they have a better idea of how their crowds on those days will be. He said it was walk up only and that they had plenty of places for my party to wait. I have a party of 7 adults for a birthday dinner, so not having any sort of ADR doesn't work very well.

Frankly, I don't even know if I care to bother with them anymore.

Go to the Hangar Bar and buy a Monkey's Uncle, and get the best Indiana Jones mug ever.

As I was trying to firm up my plans for October 21-22, I was able to book an ADR for Homecoming on both a Friday and Saturday. The times were before 6pm though, but after 4pm. It is just me for this particular ADR, so that may have helped a little with some of the late afternoon/early evening times. Finally settled on a Friday around 4:10.

Really good quick bites at both Aristocrepes and Yesake. Definitely worth trying.

The guys from the DIS Unplugged team had lunch at Homecoming and gave their review on it - thought I'd share it here for those interested.

Jackie....I really wanna try this place....wasn't too foo-foo? On a side note, gonna be there 3rd week of Sept for Food and Wine.....do you know if it's possible to get the Passport mailed early.....I like to plan! I was thinking about putting it out there and see if someone would mail me one if they went the 1st weekend and I'd buy em a drink when I'm there!!!LOL

Honestly, I haven't eaten there yet myself, but quite a lot of my friends have and none of them had a negative thing to say. We peeked into the restaurant a couple weeks ago after we'd had lunch at Frontera and it didn't look or feel foo-foo to me at all. :)

On the Food and Wine passports, I don't think they put them out until the Festival actually starts. I'll be at Epcot this weekend though and I'll see if I see any. I'll grab you one if I do. :)

Absolutely LOVED Frontera Cocina! I had their Cochinita Pibil Torta and it was seriously the best pork shoulder I've ever had. Just incredible. Our food was so fresh and fabulous. We even tried their bacon guacamole and that was outstanding too.

I highly recommend it! We'll definitely be going back!
