A Tropical Depression

Now ...thats a tropical depression I wouldnt mind was headed my way...

I second the pasta pursettes - absolutely amazing. Also, and don't judge me folks.........the corned beef hash at Cabannas, it's really good and the only time I ever eat it is on the ships.

We were on 2015 WBPC and loved all of the chilled fruit soups in MDR. The different polentas were all great. The chicken tenders at the pool were good (when they were fresh and not from the warming tray) as were the fresh cinnamon covered pretzels with cream cheese inside! Mickey Bars...and a little cruise hack for you...since its so darn humid that far south, if you want soft serve, get TWO of the hot coffee cups, stack one inside the other and fill with ice cream. The ice cream would last 30-45 minutes!

OK where were the pretzels from? Have yo ask so I can work out where to hunt them out lol. We don't really do pretzels over here (UK) and I miss Disney ones

All my palo favourites have been covered :) here's one I never hear anyone talk about but will absolutely have to have again on my next cruise - chocolate shake! Actually, on the menu they call it a Chocolate Smoothie. I have no idea why, it is definitely a milkshake. Semantics aside lol it is absolutely delicious. A milkshake it something I typically have once every couple of years... I believe I had it 4 times on our cruise it was that good! It is extra $$ but totally worth it :)

The grape and gorgonzola pizza from Palo brunch is really good. There was also this hazelnut cream rolled cake at the buffet dessert station one day that I really liked but never saw it again. We also loved the peel and eat shrimp and the lobster. Grand marnier soufflé and crunchy walnut cake were good too. Finally I thought the pot stickers from pirate night were pretty good as well. Most other things from the menu ranged from decent to just all right. There was nothing terrible, but not too many were memorable.

Where are the pretzels? I looked all over last cruise and no one knew what I was talking about.

I know I can get this anywhere but the cut-up fruit on the pool deck. I love that when I'm in the mood for something there are healthy things available in between my decadent meals.

A couple of other favourite foods I should mention:

-since we were on the Late dinner seating, we would typically have a snack and play a game after the show of the evening. This would either mean playing cards at O'Gills where the buffet of "pub grub" would tide us over, or outside of Cove Cafe, where we would help ourselves to a little plate of prosciutto, parmigiano, and olives :) just fun places to grab a snack, I think it was the games and the laughs that made those so special tbh!
-Palo has a pasta dish, I can't recall if it was tagliatelle or what but it was braised beef and red wine sauce. TO. DIE. FOR.

This reminded me of the nachos, salsa and sour cream that they put out in the Promenade Lounge and Diversions. I find this to be the best salsa anywhere! Anytime I find see it out(usually after the early show), I have to have some.

Definitely Chocolate Lava Cake. My daughter raved about it so much our server brought her two.

On the fantasy they were up on deck 11 at night. We snacked on them after dinner and shows while riding Aquaduck and watching movies. I don't know if they have them every night or just a few nights.

I loved the shawarma on the Magic but I think its ONLY on the Magic. Other favorites include pasta pursettes from AP, crunchy walnut cake from AP, Belle's french onion soup (RP/RC), eggs benedict, muesli (cabanas), anything from Palo brunch or dinner, chicken tenders and how I really know we are on a Disney Cruise- Paradise drink of the day! Yum! My children eat their weight in pizza.

First day on - chilled soup on the lunch buffet and Pluto's chicken strips (soooo good!) As other's have noted, you cannot go wrong with anything at Palo's Brunch, especially the eggs benedict. Pinnochio's pizza as a late night snack up on deck 9, they change the pizza's out every day, so it is fun to go see what they have. Have a wonderful cruise...the Panama Canal cruise is awesome.

Oh I forgot! Tm the first sea day I got the cake of the day from room service and it was amaretto cheesecake! The tiniest little square, I could've eaten 5!!

Thanks for the heads up. I will have to keep an eye out for them just in case they are on the other ships too :D

As for cake of the day - I ordered it once and it was some sort of chocolate spnge around the size of an apple in diameter but about 1cm thick. It was nice but again tiny so probably worth ordering 2 of them!

Hi,

We love the panini's at Goofy's Calley. The fruit also at Goofy's Galley is great. The room service food is good too! We love the All Hands on Deck cheese board , it is so yummy! We also like the chicken noodle soup from room service! Have fun on your cruise. We have done the Panama Canal Cruise and it was amazing.

I personally can't see the reason for anyone to recommend Chicken tenders against the other great items on offer, You can get chicken at KFC and McDonalds anytime.
