My daughter has a school project and she must fill a sandwich size zip lock with 100 items, any ideas?
We have a Mickey head punch that works on paper, but we are going to Disney world before the project is due and thought someone on here might know of something different and magical from WDW.

Mickey confetti? My kids picked up what seemed like 100 pieces of it!

Or maybe mickey stickers?

When my nephew had this project I sent him with 100 pennies. Other easy ideas are paper clips, buttons, safety pins.

100 (cheap) lollipops (think dumdums) We do this every year for the 100th day of school. M&M's are also easy.

My suggestion was M&M as well.

or Skittles or any small candy

or buttons

My son used 100 Legos to make the number 100.

All the same thing or different things? I eould think the teacher is looking for some creativity rather than just counting out 100 M&Ms & putting them into a ziploc.
Look around your house....there are a million small things.
Buttons, pins, paper clips, hair bows, elastic bands, legos, cereal, M&Ms, Skittles, water bottle tops, soda can tabs....

Does it need to be 100 of the SAME item? If not, be creative and pick different things.

Disney themed - I like the idea of collecting mickey head confetti. Believe they also sell mickey head pasta. They also have little boxes of cookies kind of like animal crackers or teddy grahams but that are Disney themed (mickey head I believe).

What does your daughter want to do? She should think of something she wants to put in.

our grandkids did 100 elastics and had them together...made a long chain...did that one other time with paper clips...two rolls of pennys..undone..100 erasers and then gave them to the teacher...the kids love doing that

Chain of colored paperclips. Once DS made a sign on his lego board with his hundred legos. I think he spelled '100 days' and used the rest to decorate it. I've seen cool things built with 100 popsicle sticks. 100 shiny pennies is a cool display. Are they making a display or just putting them in bags?

:thumbsup2

It is, after all, HER assignment.

Ours was always 'family work' especially since really young kids have no clue regarding spacial stuff. What if whe decided to use 100 spoons? or 100 crayons or 100 shoes? All of those would take parental involvement. You have to be realistic but I agree to allow her to come up with ideas with guidance.
