Must Do's at Disney!!

pixiedust at barbershop at MK - they'll do gel and mickey confetti in your hair. it's cute!

watch tink fly from the castle just before the fireworks. try to notice all the details in the buildings, decor, etc... the amount of thought that went into wdw is incredible! ride the monorail from ttc to epcot - during the day and at nighttime - just for the ride itself. look for hidden mickeys. do splash mountain! and buzz! and peter pan! and haunted mansion!

enjoy yourselves!

DH & I love rides. Our favs include ToT and RnR in MGM. In AK, don't miss the Safari Ride and Festival of the Lion King. We haven't been on Soarin' or Expedition Everest........we have about three weeks until we get to check those out for the first time. We also take a day out to check out DD and one night at Pleasure Island...we love the Comedy club and 8-Trax.

The most important thing is to know that you won't see everything. We've been many times, and still find new things to do. Make sure you don't run yourself into the ground - rest when you need to (I also recommend staying on Disney property). Some of our best memories come from the little things.

Have a great time!!!!!!!

My favorites are the live shows at EPCOT. Every trip I see the band Off Kilter in Canada, the Beatles singers in Great Britain, The Worldshowcase Players - catch the show in Great Britain or Italy, also the candy lady in Japan. I try and see 2 or 3 performances of each group. Performance times are listed on your EPCOT schedule you can pick up when you enter the park. I also love to see the fireworks with the great music and to watch the fountain show at EPCOT. So far, every trip I have been able to ride in the front of the monorail on the trip from the ticket and transportation center to EPCOT. You have a wonderful view of the EPCOT park before you arrive at the monorail station.

Can someone please explain pixie dust at barber shop? Thanks

Here is the top of DH's head. I cut off the rest so you could see the detail without the image being enormous.

Wow! Thanks for responding! You have given me so many ideas! I love it! Keep them coming! Here is some more information on who is going, since some of you asked for more details.

I (33 yr old female) am going to WDW with my 12 yr old daughter, my best friend (34 ,F) and her 6yr old daughter. We are staying at the Contemporary resort right next to the Magic Kingdom! The first night we are staying at the All Star Music resort.

I love roller coasters and fast things, but I can't take anything that spins or goes backwards.

I cant wait to go to Main Street and see the Castle! I am so excited!

28 days!!!!!!! Yippie!!! pixiedust: :cool1: :sunny:  :cheer2: :cheer2:

I always tell my friends who are first timers... pick out a few things at each park that you really don't want to miss and other than that just take a deep breath and relax! There is no way you can see it all in one trip so slow down & enjoy the magic. A few of our favorites are:

-Eating hot dogs while we watch old Mickey cartoons in the back room of Casey's on Main Street in Magic Kingdom.

-Watching Tinkerbell fly during Wishes (you have to be toward the right side of the castle as you face it)

-Wishes, Fantasmic, and Illuminations! No one does night time magic like Disney.

-Character breakfast at OHanna... Mickey, Pluto, Stitch and the best pineapple bread you've ever tasted.

-The Main street Confectionary... the best carmel apples ever.

Of course we like the rides too but just obsorbing the magic is more than half the fun.

Hope you have a wonderful visit!!
