We are heading there this summer - its been YEARS since we were there last - but I remember doing a butterfly museum & NASA but that's all I know about.

We'll be there a couple days - and we have young kids...

How old are the kids?

The Children's Museum, the Zoo, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Museum of Natural History are all in walking distance of each other (the Cockrell Butterfly House is at Natural History) Although in the summer, it will probably be too hot to walk!

I did the Zoo & NASA (and Fudruckers for lunch) when I was visiting family in Kemah this past summer. It was a very, very, very hot day for the zoo when we went. The Kemah Boardwalk was a lot of fun as well - it's what - 25 minutes south of Houston?

Go down to Galveston for the day. There is Moody Gardens and the Schlitterban waterpark. 50 minute drive from Houston. If you don't want to do the waterpark then rent a 4 wheeled bike and cruse the seawall. I was there the other day and the place is coming back.

Ahh I did an internship there and LOVED IT!! You've got to check out the Galleria mall. It is absolutely HUGE! I was still getting lost in it after four months. Also you should go to an Astros baseball game. It is SO much fun and a lot to do for the family. They have a retractable roof and they keep the inside air conditioned for the games since it is so hot out! Have sooo much fun, I'm jealous!
