OK, for a place that's got it "all figured out" and has top of the line technology and magical ways to do things, they sure need to UPDATE THEIR PATHETIC music/sounds/mumbled crappy music while they place people on hole for countless minutes!

I am not complaining about being put on hold...I am complaining about the HORRIBLE quality of the pathetic noise/racket they play WHILE BEING ON HOLD. Can anyone even understand it? Between the scratchy, in and out noise, how can anyone think that is good? It seems to me that Disney forgot about this area of planning for vacations! Disney World is supposed to be filled with magic- from PLANNING the vacation to actually GOING on vacation. They've really dropped the ball!

If I can call my DENTIST OFFICE and have better 'on hold music', there is something wrong!!!

I don't want to simply 'complain'...I wish something could actually be DONE about this. This is the 5th time I've been put on hold over the course of planning this trip and I'm quite annoyed. I've actually sent an e-mail to them. Has anyone else complained about this issue? Do others think this is unnacceptable? I'd rather listen to BLANK NOISE! Or a baby crying in fact.

:happytv: I hear what you are saying, but I just leave the phone on speaker. I never even thought to complain about it....Come to think of it, I never really liked any hold music I have to listen to :confused3

Oh it's soooo bad!! I leave mine on speaker too but I pick up the phone every few seconds because the audio goes out and I think that someone picked up!! I like the park music but the quality is just awful! It didn't used to be like that...what happened?? :confused3

I have to agree here. Not to mention.......while I LOVE LOVE LOVE WDW (it's like a second home), the accuracy of information from the CM's on the phone often times leads more to be desired. Often times I call twice to make sure I get the same answer. Too often, I dont.

Maybe they'll fix this right after they start putting correct info. in their e-mails :rotfl:.

More often than not the CMs you talk to on the phone aren't anywhere near the park, some have never even BEEN to the parks. If you have a question they can't figure out they get to ask it in a chat room, only to be answered by more people that have never seen Disney. Sometimes you get lucky and get the actual call center or somebody that eats, breathes and sleeps Disney but....

You know there is a 407 number that you can call just to hear the hold music.

Some people make a long distance call just to listen to the music to give them a little lift.

So true. The CM I spoke to last week told me that she hadn't been to Disney in over 10 years.

I've always thought that the bad quality is caused by the long distance. I have to put in on speaker as the cracking quality leaves a bad feeling in my ear.

I find hold music reminds me of elevator music. But I do agree, the Disney music they play while on hold needs to be a little...less mumbly? But I still love to hear "Zip a Dee Do Dah" regardless if its crackly or not hehe!

I was on hold for 27 minutes last night (YES, it was the ONLY time I had to call yesterday!!! If I would have called earlier in the day, not at their 'prime call time' it would have been less...) And out of the MANY noise/crackle/static minites that I listened to, I barely could even make out more than 1 full word every 2-3 minutes or so. It was HORIBLE!!!! I tried putting it on speaker phone, but with the crackle/fizz noises it was hard to tell if someone actually picked up the phone, or if it was some crazy other noise.

I just wish they could figure something out, because it's torture to listen to the junk they've got going now.

The entire phone experience is terrible to me. The countless automated questions, the long holds, the CM's lack of knowledge. And then I'm horribly turned off by the way they handle discounts. The CM's will volunteer nothing, then when I mention a plan they basically ask me what I know about it before agreeing that it's available. That's very poor service. If you're going to offer something, then OFFER it and quit playing games with the customer.

That's why I just book online now. Even there, though, it seems they have taken steps to make special offers less noticeable on the initial page.

I agree the CMs could be more knowledgable about discounts and deals. I call and ask what is the best deal I can get and as soon as I mention we're military they always say that is the best deal. It isn't always true though...but I can't book that online so I have to call and deal with them. I hadn't noticed the on hold music though last time I called, I will pay attention next time.

The music quality certainly sounds like a picky complaint on the surface, but it's so bad I always doubt the integrity of my connection the whole time I'm on hold; when the CM comes on line the quality sounds fine.

Are you not a disney fan or just trying to get a raise out of others?

I've had times where the music is clear as a bell and others when its in and out. I've also noticed that it seemed certain songs were always difficult to hear.

So I don't know what the deal is. lol

There is a number just to listen to the music?! Really??

Oh, I am a definate Disney fan...lover of all things Disney. And, I am NOT trying to get a rise out of anyone. I just wonder if others experiance this problem, is it a TON of people who have the same experiance as me, or isn't it? I like to hear others experiances, and to inform people that e-mails should be sent if you are unhappy with a service. Also, people from Disney do read these threads and I'm hoping that they'll listen to some things people hope that can be improved on. And, I believe (as well as others here) that the music/noise/static needs an improvement durring a phone wait...that's all.

No, no rise out of anyone. In fact, I'm quite excited and in a great mood because of going to Disney next week.

I totally agree!!!! The quality of the music is just plain terrible. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only person annoyed by this.

I'm a complete Disney geek and I think the on-hold music they have does stink pretty bad. For me, mostly because it seems like it goes in and out, and sometimes when it fades out, I think I was disconnected.:confused3
