The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting...) -- Judah and the Lion

I don't know that I love this version, it's on a Christmas cd I bought with various artists. And while I'm expressing an opinon: I had roast chestnuts once and they were terrible.

You made me go back to pleasant times hanging out with my older sister.
She was in her first or second year of uni which would have made me some sort of tweener. We went to a Chicago concert at Forest Hills in Queens and I was the contraband holder. No, not booze, a "portable recorder" hidden in my pocketbook. The sad thing is all we could hear was us singing off key but enthusiastically to this:

One of her "nosy" sons recently found the recording and played it at a family gathering much to our chagrin. Our mother was going with the feel and remarked that none of her children could sing as well as she but then we reminded her of the time she complained that is was just wrong for that generation to think the "Dead" were "Grateful" to be gone. Was her face red.

Carpenters Christmas CD deluxe edition. One of the few post '60s Christmas recordings I can tolerate. ( I actually love this!)

My son was just watching the movie and when the credits at the end rolled, this song was on. I had no idea what the song was, but it caught my attention.
