I love country music with a tropical/Caribbean/Mexican flair, and want to make a compilation CD from iTunes of all the best tropical sounding country music songs (and maybe some Jimmy Buffet thrown in for good measure). This will be especially useful whilst driving down in December to the Caribbean Beach Resort for our next vacation in the World. So help me out – what songs should I add to my mix? :confused3

On the list so far:

No Shirt, No Shoes, No Problems - Kenny Chesney
The Seashores of Old Mexico – George Straight
Five O’clock Somewhere – Alan Jackson
I Don’t Know What She Said (But I Sure Like The Way That She Said It) – Blaine Larsen

What else should I add? They don't have to be country - I also enjoy "happy" raggae music (Think "50 Fist Dates" soundtrack) and non-angry, bite the heads off chickens rock. :teeth: :smooth:

Thanks!

Mexico - James Taylor
Hot, Hot, Hot - Buster Poindexter
Heatwave - Linda Rondstat (and others)

Given the nature of this board, I think "Under the Sea" should be on the list.

How about a couple songs by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole?

I was going to suggest that! His version of Over The Rainbow/What a Wonderful World is absolutely beautiful. Haunting almost. It's the one on the Rice Krispies commercial and was on ER when Mark died in Hawaii.

Garth Brooks - 2 Pina Coladas
Any Jimmy Buffet stuff

I see a Kenny Chesney pattern here LOL.

Good stuff, ya'll. Keep 'em coming. I love the IZ version of Somewhere over the rainbow. They use it at the end of "50 First Dates" and it is fantastic. That one is certainly a must have.
