MUSH! Going to Alaska - August 19, 2013 7 Night from Vancouver

Ok - got it! I booked some excursions today too:

- in Skagway, we're doing the 4 X 4 adventure
- in Juneau, we're going to rent a car and explore a little on our own
- in Ketchikan, we're doing the Bering Sea Crab tour (but can't do the Disney exclusive as our little one is not quite old enough - boo!).

I rented the car myself, but decided that I'd just book through Disney for the excursions - the thought of getting somehow stuck and missing the ship (or a paid-for excursion) was stressing me out more than the little extra cost of the excursions. (Ask me again when the visa bill comes in!)

We are looking into renting a car ourselves as well in Juneau. What company did you rent from? When I first looked, I was worried that all of the companies were far away from the port.

I found 2 Sarah McMullins! One has a baby cover photo and the other is a picture of a dark haired woman. One also goes by Sarah Jordan McMullin, one is Sarah Mcmullin. I can't see if either are from Idaho, so if you could let me know more, I'll get you in the group!

I JUST changed my profile picture. It's me and the baby with a binky, my cover photo is the baby with glasses on, and it is just Sarah McMullin. No middle or maiden name. I changed my privacy settings, so hopefully I'm searchable! Thanks

Hi, my 12 year old nephew and I are joining you on this cruise. I have cruised before to Alaska but never a Disney Cruise, and my nephew has been to DL and DW many times with this family but has never cruised. We are both very excited to experience Alaska with Disney.

We have booked our shore excursions and made some other tentative plans for our port days.

- in Skagway, we're doing the Liarsville Gold Rush Trail Camp excursion and we would like to do the free National Park Ranger-led walking tour the Skagway Historic District, and have nephew earn Junior Ranger Badge (just like his older brothers did on their trips)
- in Juneau, we're booked for the Sled Dog Discovery and Mushers camp excursion and hopefully eat at Tracy's Crab Shack
- in Ketchikan, we're doing the Bering Sea Crab tour and if time go to Creek Street and also ride the Cape Fox Funicular Rail Car ($2)

I have read that some cruisers had sent in specific dining rotations. Have you done this, if so what is the preferred restaurant order? We are second seating for dinner.

Sounds like we have nearly identical trips planned Ducky! We are at the earlier seating for dinner, because we have an 18 month old and she goes to bed before the later dinner, but unless that is your situation there really isn't a difference between the two. You'll go to the show first and dinner after, and the earlier sitting goes to dinner first and then the show
