Sounds like a fabulous day. How cool to ride Everest over and over. I am so sad that we won't make AK this trip now. But it will still be fun.
When do you go in March? I'm sure we'll miss you though. I think you are early March, and technically we won't be at WDW till April.

It was a lot of fun to be able to ride it so many times in one day especially right in a row. It would be hard to skip a park, I'm not sure which one I would skip. On my half marathon trip, I only rode rides in 2 parks but I still went to the other two, either while running or to eat lol. But, your trip in March is going to be awesome! How fun to go on the Dream!

We are going in early March, we'll be at Disney Mar 4-10 then again on the 13. We'll be visiting relatives the 10-13.

Hi DISers. I'm sorry I've been MIA for so long. Things have been a little crazy at work and I had to pick up some overtime. Also, I started grad classes again last week so that's an additional work load to fit in. But, I also have some exciting news that's been taking up my time...

DBF and I are adding some fur to our life. I've wanted a puppy for a long time and I even promised that if he let me have one, I would spend as much time taking care of it and training it as I do on my Disney trips Anyway, that argument at least got him to agree to look at one. So, I did my research and found a breed that I felt we would be compatible with. I found a breeder/rescue shelter that uses all proceeds from their puppies strictly to support the shelter. So, last Friday we went to look at a little black and white Morkie (Maltese/Yorkie mix). She was sooo cute! We spent about an hour there talking to the owner about the breed and what to expect, etc. Well, the whole time we were there, I was holding the little girl and the owner had handed her brother to DBF to hold. Well, I look over and there is the little boy licking DBF all over. Then, a little later, he feel asleep in his arms. Well, as our visit was nearing an end, I asked DBF if we could get one. I really wanted the little girl but DBF had fallen in love with the little boy... So, when I told him I wanted the girl, he looked at me and says "maybe, we could just take them both." Are you serious? The person who didn't want any dog now wants two? He said "at least they could keep each other company while we're not home". So, there it was... we walked away the proud owners of two new puppies. Now, they're only 3 weeks old so we have to wait 3 more weeks before we can go pick them up so we've been busily gathering up everything we're going to need.

So, what did we name them? Well, you know I had to choose a Disney related name so I named the little girl, Lilo. Then, DBF took his time naming the little boy but finally decided to name him Otis (as a tribute to Milo and Otis ) So, we now have Lilo and Otis:

We get to pick them up on Valentine's Day (they'll be exactly 6 weeks old)!

Lilo and Otis are adorable! So sweet!

Oh yes, I do believe my family had some very wonderful things mentioned about them in your AK update -- thank you! We so enjoyed meeting you and your Mom and all of our EE rides were so fun! Demetri still talks about you both and what fun he had. I haven't gotten to our AK day yet on my TR, but here are some bootleg ride photos to share....

Alex is always trying to be quite silly in his ride photos and I remember him laughing at himself he'd posed to the wrong side both times!

This photo of you and I unfortunately came out blurry and I couldn't try for another one before it flipped to the next set of riders.

This one with you and Demetri is hysterical. Such fun you all had!

Dec. 1 - Animal Kingdom
Hours: 9am - 5pm EMH 5pm - 8pm

We woke up, got ready, and walked over to El Centro to grab some breakfast. Sorry, there's no pictures because we walked to the bus stop as we ate. We didn't have to wait too long for a bus this morning. We made it to the park around 8:35am. First on the agenda was heading to the ticket counter to get our tickets upgraded to Annual Passes. I explained our situation to the CM and she said she didn't think she could make the change without us losing our dining plan credits. She talked with another CM and confirmed that we would have to wait until the end of our trip to ensure we didn't mess up our dining plan. HUH? What? But... Ok, Thanks anyway... I was kind of surprised since the people at Reservations had told me I'd be able to do it and we were hoping to use our discounts during the trip.

We proceeded over to the gate and waited in line for the park to open. They opened the gate around 8:50am, my mom went through the gate and then I put my ticket into the machine. Denied. I tried again. Denied. So the CM punched a couple buttons and through I went. They stopped us again right in front of the Oasis for the Welcome Ceremony. They used to have it in front of the Tree of Life and I'm not sure when they moved it but we watched it before being released into the park.

I took my mom and I's tickets and speed walked with everyone else towards Expedition Everest. I stopped briefly to help a lost kid then continued on my way.

I put my mom's ticket in for a Fast Pass then mine, Denied. It wouldn't let me have a fast Pass because my ticket hadn't been used as valid admission. There was no CM working so I walked over to ask the one by the Kiosk, who sent me to the one at the Entrance to the ride, who sent me back to the CM that had just arrived at the machines. She gave me three Fast Pass Key Cards (they work like your ticket but only in the Fast Pass machines). So, I used all of them and we ended up with 4 Fast passes to Everest . After that ordeal, we hopped in line to ride. There was no wait! Once we got off, we hopped back in line and rode again still with no wait! Then, we headed to Dinoland.

This is what Dinoland looks like at 9:30am. We headed towards Primeval Whirl first:

Once again there was no wait so we walked right on. Before heading to Dinsosaur:

There still wasn't a line so we walked right on. I always plug my ears on this ride because it is so LOUD. It was about 10:10am now so I checked the Times Guide and Finding Nemo - The Musical was starting at 10:30 so we headed there.

There was hardly anyone there yet so we got seats in the front row of upper middle section. The perfect seats in my opinion.
